Precision Dog Training Academy's owners and instructors are the most experienced and patient dog trainers in the Kansas City region. We have over 30 years of experience working with family pets. We have also worked with service dogs and military and police dogs. We recognize how essential it is for you and your canine companion to be able to communicate and collaborate. For us, it's a pleasure to

work with families and their pets. Our instructors graduated from well respected programs including the Tom Rose School, Michael Ellis Professional School, NePoPo School, Logan Haus School, and STSK9 University of Professional Dog Training in Belgium.

🐾 Asher's Transformation: From Chaos to Control! 🐾

Meet Asher, a Doberman who recently completed our 4-Week Advanced Board & Train Program with Trainer Madi at Precision Dog Training Academy in Kansas City.

When Asher first arrived, his family was struggling with jumping, mouthing, overexcitement, and impulse control challenges. Like many young, energetic dogs, Asher had plenty of drive but needed structure, guidance, and clear communication to channel that energy appropriately.

Over the course of four weeks, Madi worked diligently with Asher to build reliable obedience, improve his impulse control, and teach him how to make better decisions in distracting environments. Through consistent training, clear expectations, and real-world practice, Asher transformed into a more focused, controllable, and responsive companion.

Today, Asher demonstrates improved manners, greater self-control, and the ability to remain engaged with his handler even when exciting distractions are present. His progress is a testament to the power of structured training and the dedication of both our training team and his family.

We couldn't be more proud of how far Asher has come and are excited to see him continue succeeding at home!

🐾 Meet Beans! 🐾

Beans is a 3-year-old Pitt/Shepherd mix enrolled in our Behavior Modification Board & Train Program, and his transformation has been nothing short of incredible.

When Beans first arrived, he struggled with fear-based reactivity, particularly around vehicles and objects with wheels. Everyday sights and sounds that many dogs take in stride were overwhelming for him, making walks and outings stressful for both Beans and his family.

Through structured training, confidence-building exercises, gradual exposure, and clear communication, Beans has made tremendous progress. Today, he can calmly sit and observe people, vehicles, and other wheeled objects while remaining engaged and responsive to his handler.

One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is helping dogs and their families work through challenges like reactivity. Watching a dog gain confidence, learn new coping skills, and begin to enjoy the world around them is why we love what we do.

We are incredibly proud of the progress Beans has made and excited for his family to continue building on his success at home.

⭐ Maddie! Our Lead Apprenticeship Professional Development Trainer ⭐

At Precision Dog Training Academy, we're committed to developing not only exceptional dogs, but exceptional trainers as well. That's why we're proud to introduce Maddie, our Lead Professional Development Trainer for our Apprenticeship Program.

Today, Maddie was working closely with our newest apprentices, teaching one of the most important concepts in dog training: helping dogs understand and respond to pressure in a clear, fair, and effective manner. Understanding how pressure influences behavior, and more importantly how to properly teach dogs to navigate it, is a foundational skill for every professional dog trainer.

Maddie has quickly become an incredible asset to our team. Her knowledge, communication skills, and dedication to developing both dogs and trainers have made a tremendous impact on our program. She consistently demonstrates the professionalism, patience, and expertise that help set our standards apart.
