Strayhorn Performance Horses

Kole has had the opportunity to start many horses that combined, have gone on to win in excess of $1M (and counting) in the NCHA.

Cutting or cowhorse, rope or barrel horse; they all need the best foundation for their future. 15+ yrs experience in the cutting horse industry under top trainers like Lloyd Cox, Kole’s expertise will have your c**t ready for its next job in any arena. Having worked for some of the NCHA's top trainers, he knows what it takes for your horse to be successful in the cutting pen. Whether your goal is to take your c**t or filly to the show pen, sell them privately or at the Futurity sale; they will graduate from his program with a whole lot of cow, soft and full of feel, big stops and super broke. When Kole has questions about the horse's ability or athleticism, his clients are the first to know- offering guidance as necessary throughout the training process. If you need your 2 year old started or if you are looking for your next futurity prospect or show horse, give us a call or shoot us a message.

Congrats to this talented duo! 🥵🔥 and are gettin’ it done.

for this graduate and great people wanting to make great horses. Kole Strayhorn knows that not every horse belongs in the cutting pen. Transparency and communication build great relationships. Thank you CR Quarter Horses and Cathy Reist-Herrmann for bringing Gucci for her two yr old training. Thank you for taking this filly into the where she wants to !

CHANGE- it’s what you do when what you’re doing isn’t working to improve what you’re working on!

Not enough people take the opportunity to try something different when they get the same sub-optimal result over and over again.

This mare needed taken off the pattern to get back on, right. And honestly, so did my niece. From starting 2’s to tuning my niece’s barrel horse, I’m always looking to take the chance to change for the better. There’s always a way to improve yourself and the horse you sit on.

And no, I’m not trading my chaps to chase cans 😆
