UW Madison School of Veterinary Medicine graduation was this weekend. Makes me think of my graduation just a short 30 years ago. Yep…that’s right I have been doing this for 30 years! Means I must have graduated when I was like 9. Hahahaha….
But seriously 30 years is crazy to think about. Maybe a celebrate is in order…..stay tuned as thoughts develop…..

As many of you already know, Savanah is leaving us. Today is her last day. While we are all horribly sad and will miss her greatly, we hope she can take the time she needs for herself. Stop in and send her off with well wishes if you are in the area. We wish her only the best! Love you Sazanah!

As of this afternoon, we will be trying something new!! As many of you know staffing has been challenging to say the least. So we are going to be having a new staff member working remotely. I know this is a big change, but let’s give it a try. I would like to introduce you to Rachael. She is a certified veterinary technician that has also been trained to work reception. She is very capable of doing an outstanding job at triaging your phone calls. She is new to the holistic side of veterinary medicine, but is eager to learn our ways. She will be able to stay in contact with us at the clinic through our system and via phone when needed. So don’t worry, we will get your messages in a timely manner. This will allow the staff that is at the clinic to give their attention to those in front of them, and not have to let phone calls go to voicemail .

So please help me welcome Rachael and be patient with her, and the rest of us, while we navigate this change.

Privately owned and operated clinics are few and far between and we do need your support to survive. Every sale we lose to corporate pharmacies and food suppliers hurts. While we realize places like chewy are convenient, every dollar you spend there goes into the corporation competing with your small local clinic, but if it was spent locally it helps keep small clinics alive. # supportlocal

After her morning nap, Siren sat with me at lunch and we discussed how to solve all the problems of the world. She even had her notebook out to take notes. She’s pretty brilliant.

We are looking to fill a full time assistant position ASAP. Job duties would entail assisting the technician with animal care, assisting in the reception area, cleaning and stocking rooms, assisting the doctor in exams, and generally helping wherever needed.
