Hal Edmonds passed away yesterday peacefully at home with family.
Hal was the first farmer that I worked for when I moved the Cherry Valley. After he sold his cows, he worked at Thistle Hill Farm doing chores. Hal loved helping with hay. He was a good farmer and knew good hay. He was also one of the more gentle men to work this earth. I never heard a bad word from his mouth and he was patient and caring even though horses were not his favorite animals.
I learned a lot from Hal. One of the most important things I learned was how to pace myself when doing hours of chores. His calm spirit will stay with me . Rest in peace.

Hard to believe but my horse now called Deuce is going FEI level. He is out of my mare Prissy Miss and Cornell's Benvolio. The present owner just contacted me and I am so happy. Coincidentally I was just asking Jeff Lindberg where he was and today Jamie his owner contacted me. Must be tele horse communication!
