Clients, please be aware that our next available appointments are starting at the first week of July. If you think you will need your dog groomed in the next 4 weeks please be reaching out to us to get them on the Schedule so they are not overdue!
We understand that we have not had wait times this long before, but we are trying to get everyone’s pets in here in a timely manner!

Hey everyone!
Please help me in welcoming Samantha Porter to the team we are so excited to have her! Make sure if you see her at the shop you say hey!

Samantha was raised in Talbott, Tennessee and has always had a love of animals. She currently owns a 2 year old German Shepherd named Athena, and 4 cats named Cleo, Pablo, Eve, and Adrian! Samantha moved to Brunswick, GA after her high school career for a short time, but could not deny her TN roots. She is now back in Talbott, TN going to Walters State Community College to get her degree in business. Samantha loves all types of animals including owning bearded dragons, chinchillas, and sugar gliders when she was younger! Samantha is excited to start her career at Golden Heart Pet.

I know you’ve all been anxious to hear a Loki update.. so here it is!
Loki had been slowly progressing after his surgery, especially with the help of his kitten sister Daisy who seems to always be by his side these days. He was using his leg again-slowly, but Over the weekend he decided to give me a heart attack and stop using his leg completely. We ended up taking him to his primary care vet and had them re-wrap the leg to make sure his circulation wasn’t getting cut off from the bandage. He proceeded to start using his leg again after that bandage change and seemed to get better as the weekend went on.
Today was the big day🎉 He was supposed to get out of his splint and just be in a soft padded bandage… but that didn’t happen for him. His orthopedic surgeon was concerned with his progress and decided to keep him in his splint another week😮‍💨
Next Wednesday will be another cast change visit and more X-rays. Let’s just hope that he gets this splint off next week.
I NEED a win.. This week has been filled to the brim with “1 step forward, 50 steps back” moments and I can’t help but feel so defeated. I’m also supposed to be going on a 4 day trip next week that I have been SO looking forward to since January, but I don’t know if I can fathom leaving my boy in anyone else’s hands for that long of a period of time right now in the pivotal moments of his healing, so I’ve got some tough decisions to make over the next days.
A big special thanks to Maile Mendenhall for transporting Loki for me this morning to his surgeon for his cast change. I truly don’t know what on earth I would do without your support and the support from all of those who are truly in our corner and have been so kind and helpful through this entire situation- you know who you are 😉
