With 2025 in the books, time to gear up for 2026. First up is recruiting potential new dancers - let your friends and neighbors know how much fun you have square dancing, the mental and physical exercise, and the great people you meet on the floor.

Word of mouth and personal invitations are the best way to get people to give square dancing a try.

Our It's Hip to be Square Dancing introduction to square dancing is Wednesday, January 14, from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Lessons start the following Wednesday, January 21; the first two are free with no obligation.

Our final dance of 2025 was a wonderful celebration, highlighted by Joe Arnold, Mike Cox, and Tony Simmons' exceptional skills. We're grateful to all attendees and the Paws & Taws community for making it special. Our thoughts are with those who couldn't join us, and we wish everyone's safety until we meet again. I was too busy dancing to capture action shots, but rounds were documented. The 3 and 4 squares kept everyone entertained until the end, filled with laughter and joy. Warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Only dance in December and last dance of 2025 Friday night - Christmas Dance with BOTH Joe Arnold and Tony Simmons calling, and Mike Cox cueing rounds. Early rounds 7:00pm, Mainstream with announced Plus and rounds between tips 7:30 to 9:30pm. Hope to see you on the floor! If not, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Come join the 4 Plus club Sunday Dec 7, 2025 from 3 til5 pm for our Chrismas dance at Landmark Hall in Taylor’s SC. Our caller will be the very talented Patty Greene.

I apologize if you were unable to attend the dance last night, as we had an impressive array of pies, although I took the table picture early, before all the pies arrived. You truly missed a fantastic evening. The dance floor featured 3 and 4 squares throughout the night. We had a wonderful time and learned a new move. Who knew that combining 'one and a half' with 'scoot back' would be such a fun and challenging experience? Mike Cox always has something innovative up his sleeve, and tonight was no exception. It was an incredibly enjoyable evening. We extend our prayers for safe travels next week, as many of you will be visiting family, and for those who may be unwell. We wish all our square dance friends a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Pie Dance this Friday, November 21. Mike Cox calling, third Friday format of 7:00pm workshop, 7:30pm Mainstream, 8:30pm Plus, no rounds.

Lots going on in Seneca Friday night - merchants open 5:00 to 8:00pm for Downtown Go-Round and first night of the holiday light show (6:00 to 10:00pm, through Dec. 31).

Trot over to Thunderbirds Thanksgiving Dinner Dance this Saturday Nov 22 at 6 PM at Landmark Hall. Lots of delicious homemade food followed by Squares with Tony and Lines with Sandy all for only $10 a real turkey of a deal!

Friday night was a truly enjoyable evening. PJ night did not permit any snoozing 😪😪😪😪 as squares and rounds kept everyone engaged. There were plenty of laughs and great dancing. We missed the ones that weren't able to be with us tonight & look forward to seeing you next time. Prayers for safe travels and healing where needed!
