We are very proud of the dedication that Officer Gaskill has shown to our community and the animals in our care.
Ashleigh Gaskill, Animal Services Officer with Seguin Animal Services, has been chosen as the city's Employee of the Month for October 2025.
Ashleigh was nominated for her outstanding response to a recent loose-dog incident in Starke Park East. Her quick assessment, calm approach, and determination resulted in the safe capture of multiple loose dogs - one of which required her to enter the Guadalupe River - to prevent it from escaping.
Despite difficult conditions, Ashleigh never hesitated and remained focused on protecting both the public and the animals. She then continued responding to additional calls throughout the city before ending her shift.
