HIRING PART TIME BARN WORKERS

Weekends (Sat & Sun)
and occasional weekday hours.

Morning (typically no more than 4 hrs) and evening times (typically no more than 3 hours)

Duties include:

Stall cleaning, feeding, giving hay & water, handling horses.

Must be reliable, able to lift 50 lbs, and comfortable around horses.

PROJECT FOR EXPERIENCED HANDLER

2022 POA mare. "Cricket" will be a taller POA. Currently around 13.2hh

Cricket has been saddled and ground driven. She has some quirks that make her suitable for an experienced handler only. She is reactive and sensitive. Bucks when saddled, does better lunging in round pen than in an open area on the line, has reared up when being handled, and sat back when tied but not a consistent behavior.

She does stand for farrier, bath, easy to catch. Slight pigeon toe

Has extensive vet exams available including a lameness exam. Current on shots, coggins, wormer, ect. Lunging video available.

The hardest part about owning horses... saying goodbye. Especially unexpectedly. We had to say goodbye to 2 of our best girls. These two were my left and right hands and absolutely irreplaceable.

Sugar passed away from old age on March 20th. She was Bob's first horse, had been with us for well over 10 years. She was such find and a diamond in the rough when we picked her up. Never did we know she would be a pillar of our program and lives.

Vanna was an absolute gem of a find. We had been looking for another steady eddy and there she was. At first I brought her back and she was chaos in a bottle. Thinking "what the heck did we bring home." Then a switch flipped and there she was. Little vanna banana. Just the best girl. Adored this girl so much and was beyond blessed to have the opportunity to have her for the years we did. Thank you Jana for allowing us the opportunity to love her.

Special thank you to Wendy McGuire for sending out one of her techs that had worked on horses to our aide when we ran out of resources. Luis was amazing and I'm sure given the right resources we could have done something. Unfortunately, Vanna passed from colic March 29th. We tried everything, called everywhere to no prevail. No vets would come out and Vanna couldn't be trailered without a sedative. We were able to get County Line out ton sedate and she was at Retama.

We had to make some tough decisions this month. It was hard to let go of both of these girls. It's harder to look out in the pasture and notice the missing golden girl and grey mare covered in mud.

We love you Vanna and Sugar. 🤍💛

All ages, all levels. We have had as young as 1.5 yr olds join our program! We offer 30 minute and 1 hour lessons. Our program is predominately performance based with an emphasis in horsemanship and independence. Lessons are available during the weekdays and weekends. Morning and evening availability

We have paddocks with shelters available. $500/mo Full care board includes Bluebonnet Energized Performance Feed and coastal hay x2 per day. Access to lighted arena, covered riding area, obstacle course area, round pen, wash racks. Farrier visits every 6 weeks, annual vet visits. Quiet gated community, family oriented.

She is friendly and comes up to you in the pasture. Was handled daily as a foal, currently turned out. She's quick, and wants to work. Has cosmetic scar on right hind. Does not phase her. Hasn't been worked with much but is halter broke
