Tonka is a 3 month old Cairn Terrier mix with the perfect blend of scruffy charm and playful energy. With a Blue Heeler dad and a 10 pound Cairn Terrier mix mom, he’s expected to stay on the smaller side but brings a big personality wherever he goes. Tonka and his sibling were found on the side of the road, but you’d never guess it from his happy, loving spirit. Judy needs our help.

Judy was recently diagnosed with an ectopic ureter and without surgery she will continue to suffer from constant leaking, recurring infections, and discomfort. Surgery is her chance at finally having a normal, comfortable quality of life.

Unfortunately, the surgery estimate ranges from $2,000-$6,000 at Texas A&M and right now that is simply beyond what our rescue can afford while managing ongoing medical expenses.

To keep Judy comfortable in the meantime, she requires medications that cost approximately $80 every two weeks just to help manage her infections and symptoms. Those ongoing costs continue to take away from the funds needed for her surgery.

Until surgery is completed, Judy will continue battling infections and leakage issues daily. She deserves better than that.

We are asking our community to come together for Judy. Every donation, share, and kind word helps move us closer to getting her the surgery she desperately needs.

Wyatt is an almost 8 week old Shepherd mix puppy looking for his forever home! This handsome little guy is full of puppy personality and charm. Wyatt is playful, curious, and always ready to explore something new before coming back for cuddles and attention. He loves toys, enjoys playing with the other puppies, and is learning all about life in a home environment.

Wyatt is at the perfect age to continue socialization and training with his future family. Like most Shepherd mix pups, he is smart, eager to learn, and will thrive with guidance, structure, and lots of love as he grows. He would make a wonderful addition for someone ready for all the fun and adventure that comes with raising a puppy.

Friends of Dogs Rescue rarely asks for help with long term medical cases, but right now we have three dogs depending on us and the costs continue to grow.

Callie came into our care in December 2024 and has been on palliative care for mast cell carcinoma ever since. Even though her diagnosis is serious, she still deserves comfort, monitoring, medications, and continued veterinary care. We are hoping to raise $550 to help cover her yearly care.

Judy was recently diagnosed with ectopic ureter and will require specialized surgery estimated between $2,000-$6,000. We are currently getting estimates from Mission and Texas A&M. This surgery could completely change her quality of life.

Clover has been in our care since May of 2025 and was diagnosed with Megaesophagus. She requires special food and feeding management that costs approximately $120 every month just to keep her healthy and comfortable.

Adoption fees do not even fully cover healthy dogs, let alone ongoing medical cases and unexpected surgeries. We normally absorb these costs quietly, but these three girls truly need community support right now.
