UPDATE: The oncologist recommended a different chemotherapy drug - and we should know within a week or two if it will kick cancer to the curb.

💚 Today is probably the single most important day of Nala’s life. 💚

After weeks and weeks of failed chemo — with each treatment leaving her sick for days — Nala’s foster mom is driving five hours (each way) to get her to a cancer specialist.

This visit will finally give us answers. It will tell us if there’s still something that can be done to save Nala’s life, or if, heartbreakingly, by the time she came to us, it was already too late. 💔

What we do know is this: Nala has been deeply loved every step of the way. Her foster family has given her comfort, safety, and care — everything she should have always had.

🌟 Let’s Give This Puppy a Chance to See the World 🌟

*9/18 Evening Update: Stella is checked in and will be staying the night for care!*

We don’t put out urgent pleas like this often — so when we do, you know it matters.

Today, Evergreen Pug Rescue picked up a 10-month-old puppy from the shelter. One of her eyes had already been removed when she was found as a stray. 💔 One look at her and we knew her remaining eye is also in jeopardy…. Which means her entire sight!

We’ve named her Stella — because this little star deserves to shine. She’s already at the vet awaiting care, but the situation is dire. Without immediate, specialized treatment, she could lose her sight completely.

She’s just a baby, and we want her world to stay full of color, love, and light — not darkness. ✨

Welcome to rescue, Carlitos!

This little boy, about 1 year old with the most adorable teefers and markings, was sprung from the shelter yesterday after being found as a stray and completing the necessary holds. Carlitos was so nervous, just shaking in his boots and had to be carried out as he was absolutely terrified. We're so thankful we're able to help this boy and to everyone in our rescue-village that's making it all happen.

We know we've been posting lots about our upcoming Monster Mash Pug Bash and our Virtual Auction - but its events like those which allow us to make rescue magic happen! So, thank you for bearing with us!

We can't wait to post another picture of him soon, smiling ear to ear. You're in the best hands, Carlitos. We've got you!

Meet Lambchop, the 7-year-old pug with a heart as big as her eyes! 💖 Despite a tough season of healing, this little fighter has blossomed into a sweet, snuggly, and strong girl ready for her next chapter.

Lambchop came to Evergreen Pet Rescue after her family, who loved her dearly, knew she needed care they couldn’t provide. Since then, she’s undergone a soft palate resection, dental work, and nares correction—now she’s breathing, eating, and resting more comfortably than ever. 🐾

Though she’s a little wobbly and still working on losing a few pounds, Lambchop is full of love, joy, and sweet snores. 💤 She may need a wheelchair in the future, but that doesn’t stop her from being the loving, gentle soul she is. 💕

Now, Lambchop is ready for a forever family who’ll support her, shower her with snuggles, and embrace her in all her glorious uniqueness. Could that family be yours? 🏡

Seriously, we can’t believe Holly is STILL waiting. 😭💔

At just 6 years old, this cuddle queen is all love, kisses, and tail wags. She has some hind end weakness (which she slays, obviously 👑), but she gets around great!

Yes, she needs bladder expressions — but it’s simple, and we’ll make sure her forever family feels 100% supported. She also no longer needs a diaper! Just a little help when she needs to go.

Despite everything, Holly is pure sunshine. ☀️

🚨 Found Pug – Graham, WA 🚨

This sweet girl was found in Graham, Washington and is now safe in our care. 💛 She has already been scanned and unfortunately has no microchip. We’ve registered her with the appropriate shelter so all the right steps are being taken.

With the heat outside, we’re extra thankful she’s now cool, safe, and cared for while we work to see if her family can be found.

If you recognize her, or know someone who may be missing their pug, please reach out right away. We’ll continue to share updates as we learn more.
