Be safe out there!!

Blue-green algae is one of the most dangerous warm-weather risks many dog owners still don’t know enough about. ⚠️🐶

This toxic bacteria can grow in:
• ponds
• lakes
• slow-moving water
• standing water

It often appears as:
• green slime
• paint-like scum
• green surface streaks
• pea soup-looking water

Even small amounts can be deadly if ingested.

Dogs may be exposed by:
• drinking contaminated water
• swimming
• licking fur afterward

Symptoms can appear very quickly and may include:
• vomiting
• diarrhea
• weakness
• drooling
• seizures
• difficulty breathing
• collapse

If exposure is suspected, immediate veterinary care is critical.

When in doubt, it’s safest to keep dogs away from suspicious water entirely.

This video is an example of what results you can have when you start proper socialization as soon as you can. Grace had cats in her life since she was a puppy. She is now 8 and has this skill because she has been continuously exposed to small animals in controlled settings since she was small.

Rose and Ozzy out here working on achieving a calmer mindset. They are having some trouble fighting each other and part of it is they are both pretty high strung. So a calmer state of mind will help steer them in the right direction.

ATTENTION EVERYONE!!!! It is the time of year when we need to pay special care and attention to the temperature for the safety of our dogs!! It takes a very short amount of time for your car to get to dangerous temperatures and an equally short amount of time for your dog to get harmed by it.

This pretty boy is Zeus. He's a German shepherd of sorts. We did a free behavior evaluation and determined he is quite overstimulated. Resulting in some reactivity and he's experiencing some resource guarding with his food. Hoping to work with him soon!
