Meet Chase 🤍
Chase is a roughly 1 year old Border Collie that was found locally as a stray and is now looking for a home of his own. We were able to locate his previous owner, but long story short, they decided they no longer wanted him… so Chase has been hanging out with me while we work on finding the right fit for him.
A little about Chase:
• Up to date on vaccines
• Not yet neutered
• Currently on medication for 3 tick borne diseases
• Great with dogs, cats, livestock, and people
• Kids are unknown simply because he hasn’t been around them yet
• Does well in a crate for me (not wire kennels though — apparently he knows how to escape those 😅)
• Mostly potty trained, but he can get anxious with change and has had a few accidents in the kennel
Chase actually went to a home last week and was returned Saturday through absolutely no fault of his own. Now that he’s back with me, I’ll be putting more training into him and helping set him up for success.
He’s a young Border Collie that’s had very little stability in life up to this point, so manners and structure are things he’s still learning. He is VERY high energy and wants nothing more than to play with his dog friends and chase a ball all day long.
I also want to be transparent that Chase has had 2 seizures while in my care. The first happened after he ran head first into a bush playing, and the second happened overnight. Bloodwork came back perfect, so the vet suspects stress and major life changes may be contributing factors. He is currently on medication and will need follow-up bloodwork in a few weeks. Thankfully, this hasn’t slowed him down one bit — put his meds in his food and he takes them like a champ.
Chase deserves consistency, patience, and someone willing to give him the stable life he’s never really had. He’s a really fun dog with a lot of potential in the right home.
Message me if you think that could be you.
