🐾 Meet Andy – the Gentle Soul Searching for a Break 🐾

Andy is a 3-year-old hound mix who’s spent most of his life waiting for the right person to come along. He came all the way from The Little Guild in Cornwall, CT to work with Trainer Meagan here in PA.

Andy is shy at first and has struggled meeting strangers, but with hard work and patience, he’s now ready to meet potential adopters! His time here has been all about learning manners, building confidence, and discovering that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

When Andy finds his forever person, they’ll have continued FREE training support from Meagan for life to make sure he always has the guidance he needs.

This 2-year-old Yorkie/Golden mix has a big personality wrapped in a small package. When she’s feeling unsure, she isn’t shy about using her voice to let you know — it’s her way of sounding tougher than she feels. During her stay, we’ll be helping Stella work through her reactivity, plus giving her leash skills and greeting manners a serious glow-up. Here’s to turning those barks into confidence! 🐾💕

📣 Henry Benjamin is leveling up! 📣

One week down in his 3-Week Board & Train and this 11-pound bundle of sass is already showing big improvements. We’ve been chipping away at his reactivity, boosting his confidence, and practicing those stroller-and-bag rides his dad dreams of. He’s learning that the world isn’t so scary — and that training comes with plenty of treats! 🐾💼💕

This 1 year 4 month old pittie isn’t here to haunt us — he’s here for 2 weeks of training to tackle his reactivity and boost his confidence. By the end of his stay, we’re hoping this shy guy will be feeling less spooked and more ready to take on the world! 🐾✨

🐾 Welcome Sonny! 🐾

Say hello to Sonny, the 5-month-old Aussie pup who just checked in for our 2 Week Board & Train program! 🌟

Sonny may be small, but his stubborn streak is strong. When he’s not feelin’ it, the brakes go on and this little guy plants himself like a rock—no amount of coaxing moves him until he decides it’s time. 😅

But beyond the sass, Sonny is currently navigating a fear period. He’s been showing signs of nervousness and a big dip in confidence—something that’s totally normal at his age, but also something we don’t want to stick around and shape his personality long-term.

Our focus for Sonny’s stay is helping him work through that fear, boost his confidence, and show him the world isn’t so scary. With patience, guidance, and structure, we’ll help this determined pup build trust, try new things, and learn how to be a little more flexible along the way. 💪🐶

Let’s get to work, Sonny! You’ve got this. 🐾✨

🐾 Henry Benjamin reporting for duty! 🐾

Hi, I’m Henry Benjamin — I may be tiny, but don’t let my 11-pound frame fool you… I’ve got big opinions and an even bigger to-do list. I just rolled into The Dog People for my 3 Week Board & Train and yes, I arrived in style. (Peep the stroller, please. Dad insists.)

My dad says it’s time for a little confidence boost and some manners around things that move way too fast — dogs, cats, kids, skateboards, you name it. I’ve got a lot of feels, okay?! But I’m here to learn how to handle all that like a champ.

We’re also working on getting me comfortable riding in a stroller and in a bag, because apparently my future involves being toted around like a fancy little prince. Honestly, I’m not mad about it… as long as snacks are involved.

I’ll be working hard on my reactivity, learning to trust new people and environments, and hopefully becoming a bit more chill around the chaos of everyday life.

Wish me luck (and maybe some treats too). Let’s do this! 💪🐶🛞🐱👶

🌟 Meet Andy! 🌟

Andy is a 3-year-old hound mix who’s traveled all the way from The Little Guild shelter in Cornwall, CT to work with Trainer Meagan here at The Dog People. This sweet soul has spent nearly his entire life in a shelter environment and has been adopted and returned—simply because he struggles with trust and fear.

Andy is incredibly nervous around new people, but beneath all that worry is a dog who wants to connect—he just needs time, patience, and the right person. During his time with Trainer Meagan, we’ll be focusing on:
✅ Building confidence
✅ Obedience training
✅ Exposure to new people, animals, and places
✅ Setting him up for a successful, forever future

Andy isn’t quite ready for meet-and-greets yet, but we’re putting the word out early. If you think you might be his person—or know someone who could be—please reach out to Meagan here on Facebook or give her a call. She’d love to share more about this special guy.

💛 Trainer Meagan will be donating her time to Andy’s ongoing training and is offering lifetime support for whoever steps up to give him the home he deserves.

We’ll Be Back Tomorrow! 🐾

It’s almost time! Meagan returns tomorrow and we’ll be back in action — ready to check messages, return calls, and dive back into training mode. 📞🐕

Thank you all for your patience and support while we took a much-needed break. We can’t wait to catch up, see your pups, and get back to helping you build better behavior and stronger bonds. 💛
