Chicagoland Dog Rescue (CDR) is a 501(c)(3) shelter-less dog rescue 100% run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are in foster homes, but we do board some dogs we take in at vets when necessary.

Raise a glass for Chicagoland Dog Rescue at our Barktober Fest this October 3rd, from 1 to 4 pm at Sew Hop'd! Enjoy craft beers, a delicious food truck, and meet some of our adoptable dogs.

Activities include:
-50 / 50 split-the-pot
- Raffle baskets
- Adoptable dogs meet and greet

Money raised will help us pay for vet bills and supplies for our rescue dogs.

Just look at this cutie! Roadie is a 3 month old puppy who is looking for her FUREVER home or a new foster home.

Her current foster home loves her but realizes they are not ready for a puppy and the puppy energy a young dog brings.

Roadie would do great in a home with dog experience and potentially another dog to play with. She loves her crate and is almost potty trained.

Hello! My name is Levi and I’m a handsome, loving and energetic young dog with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. I am completely potty trained and sleep peacefully through the night. I know my basic commands like sit, give paw, and stay. I’m very smart and enjoy learning, too. But being a puppy, I am looking for a home that will continue working on training with me. Because I’m young, I can be very playful and sometimes mouthy when I’m overexcited. I’m working hard at learning appropriate boundaries, so a home with older children or adults would be best. But the foster family wants everyone to know that I am a wonderful dog who deserves a family that can match my energy and help me become the amazing companion I know I can be! Rescue work never ends….

🩷 FOSTER NEEDED — Help Sweet Piper Girl Get Back to Loving Life 🐾

This beautiful 26 lb 6-month-old puppy named Piper has already been through far more than any baby should. After suffering an injury, she recently had her right back leg amputated. Now she needs something medicine can’t provide — a safe, loving foster home where she can heal. ❤️‍🩹

She is understandably very scared right now, but underneath that fear is a sweet little girl who is people-friendly AND dog-friendly. She just needs patience, kindness and someone willing to show her that the scary part is over. 🥹

We don’t know exactly how long her recovery will take before she’s ready for adoption, but for now, we need a special foster who can give her a soft place to land while she learns to navigate life on three legs. Here’s what we’re looking for.:

💕A quiet place to recover
💕Lots of love and reassurance
💕A little patience while she learns to trust
💕Someone to help put that puppy sparkle back in her eyes

She lost a leg, but she doesn’t have to lose her chance at a happy life. 💕

Good Golly…It’s Miss Dolly!

Hi! I’m Dolly, a sweet and happy 4-year-old girl who came from a rescue in Alabama. My foster family says I’m the perfect companion—and I think they’re right!

I’m completely housebroken, sleep quietly in my crate, and am trustworthy in the house. I’m a calm car rider and walk nicely on leash without pulling. I enjoy walks and don’t react to birds, squirrels, or deer. I also love meeting friendly dogs and am happy to give belly rubs!

I enjoy squeaky toys, am learning to fetch, and have the gentlest mouth when taking treats. I even think I like cats and am perfectly content just watching them.
I’m ready to be your best girl! ❤️
