Foster or foster-to-adopt home wanted!

Penni comes from the same home as two wonderful dogs AHF previously rescued. Sadly, the owner passed away and all her beloved pups ended up at a shelter.

You can tell Penni and the other dogs who lived in the home were very much loved and treated kindly. Penni is a sweet and happy girl. She's a great age at around 5.5 years old. She's also a nice medium size—35 lbs. Penni is friendly toward everyone and everything: adults, children, other dogs, and cats. She does not like being crated and would be happiest with someone who works from home or isn't gone long hours. She has been treated for heartworm and will need to avoid strenuous exercise for another month, but that won't be hard because she's pretty chill!

Hi, I’m Pochocco! I’m a playful, affectionate, and curious cat who loves to explore, snuggle, and have fun. I enjoy chasing laser lights, playing in my tunnel, and snuggling in a warm lap. I also love water—playing with my water bowl or from a faucet—and hunting my small toys, especially when I put them in the water bowl. One of my favorite tricks? Making churu disappear in seconds—I’m a real magician! I love giving nose boops when I feel extra loving. I’m looking for a forever family who will enjoy my playful spirit and affectionate nature.

KHAJITT:

Hi there! I’m Khajitt — a curious, cuddly kitty who loves to play and snuggle in equal measure. My favorite things include watching the critters outside the window, napping in my cat tree, and curling up in a warm lap. I get along great with kids and love chasing laser lights, running through my tunnel, and relaxing in my hammock (my brother, Pochocco, is especially funny when he joins in!). I’m fascinated by water—splashing in my bowl, watching the faucet drip, or “hunting” my little toys and dropping them into the water bowl. Treat time is my specialty — I can make a Churu disappear in seconds! When I’m feeling extra affectionate, I give sweet little nose bops to show my love.

We are bonded and we must be adopted together!

Hi, I’m Falcon! I’m a quiet, cool, and confident little guy who prefers to take in the world at my own pace. I’m curious about everything — toys, new spaces, whatever catches my eye — and while I don’t have one single favorite yet, I enjoy exploring them all.

I’m gentle with other cats and tend to keep things calm and easy. When it’s mealtime, though, I’m ready — I like to be first to the bowl and make sure I get my fair share. I’m happy to sit on your lap or curl up right beside you, enjoying the company without asking for too much. I get along with everyone; cats, kids and adults. I’d love to be adopted into a family with at least 1 other kitty so I always have a friend to play with, even if my human isn’t home.

This playful, energetic 2-year-old mix is always ready for fetch, zoomies, belly rubs, and wherever the day takes him. Shakespeare loves his people deeply and wants nothing more than to be near his humans (with occasional breaks for his own bed 😄).

While Shakespeare wants to be the only pet at home, he still enjoys hanging out with other dogs and is always down for a play date or making new dog friends outside the house.

Hi, I’m Wren! I’m a gentle little soul and a total cuddlebug. I love snuggling up with my people and feeling cozy. I get along with everyone; cats, kids and adults. I’m looking for a home with at least 1 kitty sibling so I always have a playmate even when my human isn’t home.

My favorite things are my puffy toy balls — I love batting them around or carrying them from room to room, especially since my friends sometimes “borrow” them!

I’m especially close with my sister, Raven, the only other girl in our litter— we love sticking together and watching out for each other. I don’t have to be adopted with her, but it would be my dream.

Meet Tate, a good boy in need of a foster or foster-to-adopt home. 🐾

Tate is a 2-year-old, medium-sized mix of 30 lbs. He is a bundle of happiness who loves every single person he meets. Although he hasn't been around kids since finding himself in need of rescue, we have no reason to believe he wouldn't love them as much as he loves everyone else! This fun-loving and friendly boy enjoys other dogs and does well with them. He likes being part of the action but settles in his kennel when it's time to relax. Tate was brought to a vet to be euthanized because his owners didn't want him anymore. Thank goodness the vet thought better of that idea! Tate is an awesome little dog who will make a great family member.

Hi, I’m Misty—a beautiful silver-gray, long-haired girl with a thoughtful heart and a very gentle soul. I’m incredibly smart, observant, and not the kind of cat who rushes into relationships. I like to take my time getting to know people and deciding who I can trust. I form deep bonds and I’m a loving, loyal companion.

After raising my kittens, I discovered how much I enjoy human affection. I welcome gentle pets, enjoy having my back stroked, and sometimes even curl up in a lap. At night, I like sleeping on the bed too—close enough to feel safe, but still with my own space.

New people can make me a little cautious at first, so I’m looking for a calm, patient home that understands trust is something we build together. With kindness and consistency, I’ll reward you with quiet companionship, soft moments, and the special kind of love that only comes from earning a cat’s heart.
