Cupcake is every bit as sweet and gentle as her name suggests—a tender-hearted girl with a shy charm and a whole lot of love waiting to be shared. She may seem a little reserved at first, but with patience and kindness, her walls begin to melt away—and what emerges is truly magical.

Once Cupcake feels safe, her playful side shines through with adorable zoomies, soft purrs, and even the occasional happy drool (yes, it’s as cute as it sounds!). She’s a quiet, loyal little shadow who doesn’t ask for much—just the comfort of being near her favorite people, often following them from room to room.

Though she’s still building confidence and isn’t quite a lap cat yet, Cupcake adores calm affection—gentle pets, belly rubs, and, of course, treats (her ultimate love language). Every small gesture of trust she offers feels like a precious gift.

Cupcake gets along well with other cats and would thrive in a calm, cat-savvy home—whether with a friendly feline friend or as your one-and-only. More than anything, she’s looking for a peaceful space and a kind soul who delights in watching a shy kitty blossom in her own time.

Foster or forever home wanted! 🐾

Winston is a gorgeous, 1-year-old, 125-lb. Great Dane/mix. He has an endearingly goofy personality and loves to snuggle and play. He is great with adults, children, and other dogs. Cats on the other hand...not so much. That is why his family came to AHF for help rehoming him. He lives with four kitties and sees them not as four-legged friends but as walking snacks!

Winston is already potty-trained and doesn't have accidents if he's let out regularly. He's also invisible fence trained. His people rarely crate him because he's not a fan. Despite his size, he's not difficult to walk; he may pull a little if he sees a small animal.

If you're interested in fostering or adopting Winston and want to meet him, please fill out an application!

Hi there! I’m Coop, a lively and loving little kitty who’s always ready to play. I’m obsessed with chasing string toys, toy mice, and anything that moves! Exploring the house with my siblings is my favorite way to spend the day—we love racing around and finding fun new hiding spots.

When playtime winds down, I enjoy snuggling up with my siblings for some cozy cuddle time. I’m a social and affectionate boy who loves being near my family, whether it’s for a game or a quiet moment together.

My siblings are Fowler, Picatta & Rooster.

Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Adopting kittens in pairs allows them to complete the kitty socialization process, learn good kitty manners, and have a playmate so their humans can sleep at night. We consider adopting single kittens to applicants who have another young kitty under 1 year of age, provided the applicant’s kitten is up to date on all age-appropriate vetting.

Christmas is over, but we’ve got a little Eggnog leftover!

This older gentlemen was found wandering the streets of Schaumburg a few days before Christmas. Eggnog is only 12 pounds and was glad to come in from the cold! He sure looks like a Pomeranian mix. We are estimating him to be around 6 years old - due to the tartar on his teeth.

He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys being pet. He’s met a few other dogs and has done great. His New Year’s wish is simple… a warm lap to spend his days on. He’s not with Almost Home Foundation yet. If you are interested, please fill out an application today:

CHLOE: I’m a sweet and playful girl who loves gentle pets on my head and back—those are my favorite! I’m not too fond of being picked up, but once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily come to you for affection and cuddles.

Playtime is the best part of my day! I can’t resist chasing string toys, batting pom poms, or diving through my tunnel to pop out and surprise you. I’m curious, silly, and always up for a little adventure.

The most important thing to know about me is that I’m bonded with my sister, Zoe. We’ve been together our whole lives and can’t imagine being apart. We’re looking for a calm, loving home where we can stay together and share our cozy naps and playful moments. If you have room in your heart (and home) for two wonderful sisters, we’d love to meet you!

ZOE: I’m Zoe! Gentle pets on my head and back make me purr with happiness, and while I prefer not to be picked up, I’ll come to you when I’m ready for affection.

I love to play and explore! Give me a string toy, a pom pom, or my favorite tunnel, and I’ll show off my playful side. Crawling through tunnels and popping out to pounce is one of my favorite games.

The most important thing to know about me is that I’m bonded with my sister, Chloe. We’ve been together our whole lives and are looking for a forever home where we can stay side by side. With a calm, patient home and a little love, we’ll reward you with double the joy, double the purrs, and double the heart.

Hi! I’m Picatta, and I’m all about playtime and snuggles! I love chasing string toys, toy mice, and anything else I can bat around. Exploring the house with my siblings is my favorite kind of adventure—we have so much fun racing and discovering new spots together.

When we’re done playing, I enjoy cuddling up with my siblings for some cozy downtime or sitting in my human’s lap. I’m a social girl who loves being close to my family, whether it’s for a game or a nap. If you want a playful, loving buddy who’s always ready for fun and affection, I’d be the perfect match!

My siblings are Coop, Fowler & Rooster.

I love to play — toy mice, wand toys, you name it! I could chase things around all day. I’ve got kitten siblings, and we have the best time wrestling, exploring, and getting into just the right amount of trouble. (Don’t worry — the cute kind.)

When I’m not zooming around or pouncing on toys, I really enjoy just being near my human. I’ll curl up next to you, keep you company while you work or relax, and maybe even nap in your lap if I’m feeling especially cozy.

I’m looking for a home with one of my siblings, where I have someone to snuggle with!

My siblings are, Coop, Fowler & Picatta.

Magnus here - but some of you may know me as the Vibes Manager 😎 My foster mom says I bring good energy everywhere I go, and honestly? She's right. I even sing along to music sometimes (Husky things 🎤)

But before I became the resident morale booster, life was rough. I was found wandering the streets of Hoffman Estates - maybe even in your backyard - and taken to a holding facility. They told me, "Just 7 days and your family will come."

But nobody did.

I ended up waiting almost 30 days in a tiny kennel. Same four walls. Cold floor. Hardly any space to move. I'm only 1 year old, and all I wanted was to run, play, and just be a dog again. I got stressed, I got sad... I just shut down. Can you blame me?

Then one day everything changed. A rescue heard my story, a foster family came to meet me, and their dog loved me too. So I said PEACE OUT to kennel life and started fresh.

And let me tell you... my new beginning?

FLIPPING. FANTASTIC.

I've discovered tug-o-war (obsessed), learned that crates are amazing when you're not stuck in them all day, and I run around like a goofy noodle while my foster mom laughs at me. I love every human I meet, my tail has no chill, and I'm basically a professional friend-maker.

Normally I'd tell you how I fit into your family based on what you're looking for... but clearly that's not working. So let's try something different.

Do NOT adopt me if you're:

🐾Not down for snuggles - because they will happen.

🐾Not looking for a training buddy - I'm scary smart. My default move is a perfect heel or standing between your legs like a little weirdo

🐾Not wanting a crate-trained king - I hang out in mine like it's my bachelor pad.

🐾Not wanting a dog-friendly dog - I LOVE other pups. I'll even talk to them from across the room.

If that turns you off... yeah, definitely don't adopt me.

But if you're into goofy cuddles, morale-boosting energy, resting-my-head-on-your-chest like I pay rent, and a dog who follows you around like your biggest fan... then maybe we should meet.

I love my foster home, but I'm ready for a forever family I never have to leave.

So what do you say?

You bring the snacks - I'll bring the wiggles. 🥰🥰

Let's meet: https://almosthomefoundation.org/adopt/adopt-a-dog/

I’m a playful kitty with a big heart and lots of energy to share! My favorite things in the world are toy mice, wand toys, and running around with my kitten siblings. We have so much fun together! I’m always up for a game, a chase, or a good ol’ wrestling match.

But when playtime winds down, I really love spending time with my human. Whether you're working, relaxing, or just hanging out, I’ll be right there with you—keeping you company, purring, and maybe even sneaking in a cuddle.

I’ve had a great time growing up with my siblings, but now I’m ready for my forever home! I’d love to have a playful friend (cat or human!) and a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.

My siblings are Coop, Picatta & Rooster.
