We’ve decided to do a thing!💡

We have harnesses… LOTS of harnesses!
Donations of dog harnesses come in almost daily, and we have way more than we will ever use!

So here’s the plan! We have a large bin of dog harnesses in our lobby ~ assorted sizes, colors and styles. They are used, but still in good shape. They are available to any Hardin County resident that needs one! If you would like to leave a donation in exchange, you are more than welcome to do so!

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨
It’s Monday. Yay. (Said no one ever.) But listen—this is Tie-a-Ribbon-Around-Your-Finger Monday. Or maybe Remind-Your-Forgetful-Self Monday. Either way, if you forget THIS, we’re gonna fight:

🎉 The FIRST EVER Grit Factor Meet & Greet! 🎉
📅 This Saturday, the 23rd
🕓 4–6 PM
📍 1025 Pickwick, Savannah TN

We’re doin’ it backyard style—minus the weird potato salad and your drunk uncle. Instead, you’re gettin’:
🌭 100 hot dogs (don’t make me count them again donated by Kroger)
🥖 100 Hot Dog buns (cause who eats a hot dog with out a bun, donated by Walmart)
🥤 100 Cokes (donated by Coca-Cola, so you KNOW it’s official they love dogs too!)
🍟 100 bags of chips (because plain hot dogs are for quitters, donated by Sunken Ship Bar &Grill)
🐶 Dogs (and probably some cats plotting world domination, donated by Hardin County Animal Services Tennessee 😂)
🎶 Background music so you don’t have to listen to your own thoughts!

🎁 Raffles that’ll make you holler:
• An ENTIRE installed black chain link fence. Yes, installed. 22 Fence Company bring it, put it up, you brag to your neighbors.
• 6 months of NexGard from Hardin County Veterinary Clinic (aka gold nuggets for dog people).
• Baskets full of treats, toys, and even MORE NexGard.

🍦 Oh, and the Craven Sweets Ice Cream Truck will be there to sugar you up before you go home.

📣We would like to give a HUGE shout out to our Foster Mama Extraordinaires Melissa Hancock and Vicky Terwilliger for everything they do to help our feline population here at the shelter!😻 Kitten season has been rough to say the least, and they never hesitate to jump in and help! From kittens with umbilical cords they take into their homes, to adoption events for full grown cats, THEY ARE ON IT, and we couldn’t do it without them!🙌🏼 So thank you ladies, from the bottom of the entire shelters one big furry heart🫶🏼♥️

Having said that… 3 weekends of foster~organized adoption events at Tractor Supply Co., and NINETEEN felines have found their FURever homes! Absolutely fantastic!!🥳😺 Not everyone chose to take a picture, but we promise they’re all in good hands!
Congratulations to you all, and happy tails!!🐾🐈

Mega shout-out to Hardin County Animal Services Tennessee for hooking us up with the good stuff: Rescue disinfectant. 🙌 If you know, you know — this is the Beyoncé of kennel cleaners. 💅🐾

Yes, it’s pricey. Yes, it’s a must-have. And yes, our shelter friends got us FIVE bottles like the Clorox fairy godmother showed up. 🧴🧽✨

Before anybody clutches pearls: nobody’s been at risk. Relax, Brenda. 😘 We just needed more Rescue… and now we got it. Which means cleaner kennels, safer pups, and me turning into a mop-wielding NASCAR pit crew. 🏁🧼

Hardin County Animal Services — . Thank you for helping us help more dogs. Now excuse me while I go disinfect everything but the mailman. (He’s on thin ice. 😅)
