d neglected animals as humanely as possible. Adoptions: $50 per dog, $100 per puppy, $25 per cat, $50 per kitten (includes spay/neuter, microchip for dogs, vaccinations and 30-days of complimentary pet insurance). Surrenders: $10 per animal with shot records, $20 per animal without shot records

Redemptions: $10/day in shelter per animal plus any other applicable fees for shots, treatments, etc

👋🏼🐾 MEET THE STAFF ~ KATELAND EDITION!!🐾👋🏼

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about KateLand Whitehead over the years, it’s that she just can’t stay away from us!😂🥰

KateLand has been an incredibly important part of the HCAS family for the past few years. She may have wandered away a time or two, but she always finds her way back home to the shelter, and we’re always happy when she does!

Calling KateLand a Kennel Attendant doesn’t quite cover it. She is truly a jack of all trades!💪🐶🐱 If there’s something that needs to be done around here, chances are KateLand knows how to do it, and she’s happy to jump in and help! From caring for the animals, to tackling whatever random chaos the day throws our way, she’s someone we know we can trust and count on☺️

KateLand is hardworking, dependable, willing to help wherever she’s needed, and a very important part of what keeps this place running ~ not to mention a fellow shelter cat AND shelter dog mama!🐈🦮 We love her dearly, and our shelter is a better place when KateLand is in it💙

Y’all! We’re collaborating, and we’re SO excited!!💙⚓️

Turns out, we have something in common with the Tennessee River Realty Group ~ The term “HOME SWEET HOME”♥️ Together, we have come to the conclusion that every home needs a furry friend, as well as every furry friend needs a home, and TOGETHER we can help!!🤝🏡🦮

HCAS will be joining Tennessee River Realty Group in their booth this week at the Hardin County Fair on 9/2, 9/4, and 9/5! We will have two of our BEST dogs with us available for adoption, and we will be issuing spay/neuter vouchers as well! ‼️Please be sure to bring TWO forms of identification with MATCHING HARDIN COUNTY ADDRESS if you plan to get a voucher.

Her name is Tag.

She’s been sitting in the shelter month after month, watching people walk past her kennel, watching her friends get leashed up for meet and greets, watching them leave with families… and not a single soul has asked to meet her.

No meet and greets.
No “Can I spend some time with Tag?”
Nothing.

Next month, Tag will have officially spent ONE YEAR at the shelter, (aka Long Term Resident status😞)… and we truly don’t understand why! Tag is a great girl! She’s smart, she’s fun, she’s friendly, she plays well with others, and she loves everyone💜
Yet somehow, she keeps getting overlooked.

Tag doesn’t need everyone to want her.

She just needs one person to finally notice her.

Please share our girl Tag! Let’s make sure she DOESN’T spend her one-year anniversary at the shelter!❤️‍🩹
