Even during the winter months, pets are still subject to parasites; the mosquitoes are already out and about this week! Please keep your pets protected every month with flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Doing this will also decrease the amount of parasites in your home and yard.

Please keep a close check on your outdoor pets (young and old) this week/weekend. Routinely provide fresh water and ensure they have a warm, dry shelter with plenty of bedding. They will need extra kibble during the coldest days to generate body heat. Stock up on food and water and have battery backup to charge all your electronics. Stay safe and keep warm pet families!

Our communal cremation garden now has a sign! We are so grateful to have a peaceful resting place for pets we had the privilege to communally cremate. Our communal cremation garden (located at 452 Church Street in Savannah, TN) is open for pet families to visit, sit and reflect on the memories of their companions. We’re here Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, to answer any questions you may have. And we want to thank you, pet families, for trusting Shackelford Pet Services with the aftercare of your companions.
