Training Tip Tuesday: Teach Your Dog the "Place" Command! 🐾

Does your dog struggle to settle down when guests arrive or during meal times? The "Place" command is a fantastic tool to help your dog stay calm and learn where to go during these moments. 🧘‍♂️🐕

Here’s how to teach it:

Choose a Spot: Pick a mat, bed, or any designated area where you want your dog to stay.

Introduce the Place: Guide your dog to the spot using a treat or toy while saying “Place.” 🐾🍖

Reward Calm Behavior: Once your dog is settled in the spot, reward them with praise or a treat. 🙌

Increase Duration: Gradually increase how long they stay in the spot before rewarding them. ⏳

Consistency is key! With practice, your dog will learn that "Place" means it’s time for calm and quiet, even when there’s chaos around. 🌟

🚨 Warning: Is Your Dog Showing Signs of Bloating? 🚨

Bloating isn’t just uncomfortable for your dog—it can be seriously dangerous! 😱 Here’s what to look out for:

🔴 Distended Belly – A hard, swollen stomach can be a red flag!
🔴 Restlessness – Constant pacing or unease might signal trouble.
🔴 Excessive Drooling – If your dog can’t stop drooling, it’s time to check in.
🔴 Vomiting – But no food is coming up... definitely concerning!
🔴 Rapid Breathing – If they're breathing fast and shallow, they need attention.

Bloating can lead to gastric torsion, which can be life-threatening if not treated quickly! 🚑 Always keep an eye on your dog after meals, especially if they’re prone to gulping their food down. 🍖
