The American Prohibition Museum is proud to once again sponsor Wag-O-Ween! It’s one of their favorite times of the year and it shows! Many the Prohibition team are proud parents of rescue animals, and they can’t wait to make some new furry friends in all their costumed splendor when you stop here along the Wag-O-Ween route this year!

Wag-O-Ween may be in October, but every August we take extra time to reflect on the gift that event founder Sara Portman gave Savannah. Five years ago we lost Sara, and Savannah lost a local business owner, friendly acquaintance, loyal friend, and the founder of Wag-O-Ween.

Sara poured her whole self into planning this event (truly, she sweat going door to door to collect her treat stops!) and was known not just for helping rescues, but always being there for pet owners in need who walked into her store, Canine Palace (where Late Air Wine Bar is now located). In the honor of Sara, we created the Sara Portman Community Fund. Money raised at Wag-O-Ween focuses on community pet efforts, with an emphasis on care that keeps dogs in loving homes and spaying and neutering.
We are honored to have been asked by Sara to continue this event that is now celebrating TWENTY YEARS running! We know Sara, and her husband Greg, are smiling to see all your amazing costumes each year. 🧡

When you join us at Wag-O-Ween as a participant, sponsor, or treat stop, you are a part of this tradition and legacy, thank you.

E. Shaver, Booksellers is back as a sponsor and don’t forget on WoW weekend you can stop by and see them both in the Starland District (Gingerbread House) and the Historic District!

E. Shaver is a locally owned, woman owned, independent bookstore located in the Historic District, with a second location is the Starland District. They hope to provide a warm and welcoming space for the exchange of knowledge and the love of books! They have rescue cats who call the downtown downtown home, so while they are not able to welcome dogs at this location, they do at their Starland location! Both owners of E. Shaver, Booksellers are proud parents of several rescue dogs.
The amazing business has sponsored Wag-O-Ween for many years and are always happy to be a part of the good work that rescues do in our community!

Welcome back to our sponsor Bentley’s Pet Stuff who you’ll also see out with a booth on WoW weekend! We love that this team has passion for helping rescues all year. Chances are that if you stop by one of their 3 local locations on a weekend - Habersham, Whitemarsh, Pooler - you’ll see and adoption event taking place!

As a Count Barkula level sponsor, Bentley’s Pet Stuff has a BOOth set up on the route while supporting our community efforts at a higher donation level (and plus other perks like shirts and additional recognition).

Here’s this team’s why: Here at Bentley’s, we love our Fur babies and helping their parent’s find the perfect item just for them. We love Sponsoring WagoWeen each year, they bring us all together for such an amazing time and we are excited to see all our customers in costumes and can’t wait to make even more friends this year.
