I have had several people ask about placing deposits on some of the kits just born…….I DO NOT TAKE DEPOSITS ON BABIES TILL AT VERY MINIMUM 4 WEEKS, USUALLY 5 WEEKS OR AFTER….most breeders or anyone that raises bunnies knows…..the first 3 days of the kits lives can be the most questionable (mom’s milk comes in too slowly, mom rejects a kit for whatever reason, mom over cleans the kits, etc, etc, etc) that being said, the 11 kits we had Sunday are all doing amazing. Just went out and all 11 have huge fat bellies! All the moms are doing great! ❤️ now to make it to the 4 week mark! (October 23rd) After that I will feel confident enough to possibly start taking deposits. I will post more pics of the babies after the eyes are fully opened. ❤️🐰

This little orange is so special to us! ❤️ when she was born, she needed to be resuscitated to get fluid out of her nose so she could take her first breath. She fought hard and became super healthy, only for her mom to accidentally step on her back leg and break it at 4 weeks old. She went through a lot to overcome the injury! I almost had the vet put her down, but she continued to fight so we let her! Just look at her now! ❤️

So I haven’t bred any bunnies this summer! The joy of breeding had left me! But this is a breeding that I’ve been wanting to do for awhile! I haven’t bred them together up to this point because they are both booted reds! I was afraid of getting charlies. These 2 are some of the sweetest, most loving bunnies I have, or have ever had! Their personalities are the absolute best, not to mention their heads are amazing! ❤️ I am over the moon excited to see what these 2 can do! Praying for some babies that aren’t charlies! Sometimes just doing a breeding that you are personally excited about gets you back into the love of breeding again. ❤️

Bunny troubles 101…..I have 2 bucks in outside hutches (cause they are my sprayers, and I don’t use either buck for breeding due to dental problems)
I also have 2 open cages in my barn with AC. I was saving one of those open cages for a red doe keeper, but it’s supposed to be 99 today with a few days of good weather after that. Then a very very hot foreseeable future here in NC. So what did I do? I went out and moved my boys inside the barn with AC! I will figured something out once I need to move that 1 keeper out to the barn! I couldn’t watch them suffer in this heat if I had a way to keep them cool!
