Are you ready to save some lives?
Ever thought about becoming a foster parent for Animal Services and what it was you could do to help care for the tiny kittens, puppies and bunnies that come into our county shelter with no mama or human to care for them?
The littlest ones that are dropped off under 8 weeks old who are often hungry and cold need to go into a foster home as the shelter environment is just not a safe or secure place for them to live. Some of these kittens, puppies and bunnies need volunteers that are able to step in to syringe/bottle feed them, which is a specialized training that will be offered in another class. These animals will not survive without human intervention.
We also need foster families and individuals who are willing to care for a cat or dog that is recovering from an injury, surgery or an illness.
Often these animal will need crate rest and some TLC.
At this class, we will talk about what you need, supplies that are always helpful to have, what our county shelters provide, necessary appointments, commitment needed, concerns you may have, what is normal, when and who to call for emergency assistance.
Join us for our upcoming foster orientation and first training class to learn all about our amazing program.
Our last class for the 2025 year is Saturday, Dec. 13th
