Flint had his yearly exam and all adult vaccinations today, and did almost as good as Cinder! ❤️ Both got their nails done also. Flint is a happy boy who loves to steal the ball and will steal your heart also. He’s a total lap dog who believes he is your personal security detail and will let you know if a leaf blows a block away. Loves all pets and both Cinder and Flint are totally housetrained. They are both looking for their forever home(s).

At the vet for yearly exams and vaccinations. Cinder is an absolute lovebug… until the doc came in and then he started panting and shedding. Good socialization as he realized he gets TREATS! ❤️ This adorable little 15 # dog is available for adoption. Loves to snuggle and great ball dog… will drop it at your feet every time. He’s like a miniature lab! Ha ha!!

We are thrilled to announce our new search engine that allows the public, advocates, and policymakers to instantly do their research into licensed dog breeders across the country! The online search tool is a companion to our database where we are currently tracking 4,445 licensed dog and cat breeders, as well as thousands of unlicensed facilities and canceled licenses.

Why is this important? Because our unique research shows that:

[41%] of the licensed breeders we are tracking have state or federal violations in the last 5 years.

[36%] of the licensed breeders who supplied pet stores in the last three years had state or federal violations.

[42%] of the licensed breeders we have found to be supplying online brokering websites had state or federal violations.

It is often easier for the public to find a puppy mill or inhumane breeder than a responsible one! While inspection records only show one part of an operation, until now it was nearly impossible for anyone to access state records or even know how to access the USDA. We want our search engine to be one tool in the toolbox in the fight to end puppy mills by helping consumers make responsible purchases.

Good info to pass on to all our friends and co-workers with pets!!

FRIENDLY REMINDER: As many gear up for the impending heat wave, it's important to watch where you (and your pets) are walking. As air temperatures surge into the 90s, both concrete and asphalt temperatures will catapult to dangerous levels. That can burn your pups paws if you're not careful.
