Everyone knows it's Butterscotch 🦋 No, not Butterfly, but we hope she flies out of the Shelter and into a forever home 🏠 Butterscotch is Kyle's Critter of the Month, and that means you can pick her up adoption fee-waived though September 7th 🤑 Adopt, don't shop, and save a life today.

The results are in ✔️ Thanks to you, Your Hometown Shelter has been awarded BEST NON-PROFIT by the 🎉 We celebrated the only way we know how: by letting you guess our huskiest cat's weight for prizes 🤭 One lucky animal lover took home an Dog DNA test and Panzer is on a diet and available for adoption 🥰 Our sincerest thanks to YOU for making us #1, and here's to another great year of serving our community together.

Happy DOGust 1st, the official birthday of ALL rescue and shelter dogs 🤫 To celebrate, all adoption fees are reduced to $75 (excluding Shelter Heroes) through DOGust 10th 🥹 Can't adopt another? Celebrate by spoiling your rescue. Or, make a donation to Your Hometown Shelter. We accept new and gently used items for pets, monetary gifts, and of course your volunteer time. Happy DOGust 1st 🧁

The Running of the Bulls is an event that takes place annually in Pamplona, Spain 🐂 Here in The City Different, we have The Running with the Dogs 🐕‍🦺🏃 Check out these photos from last year's event featuring kids from Santa Fe Prep. You may have been to our campus at 100 Caja del Rio Road to visit our Adoption Center, Animal Hospital, or Animal Resource Center... but we have another whole building up the hill with animals who need the most love 🤯 Roddey's Rehab Center was built with the intention of housing dogs 60lbs and up to give them extra space and a little break from the bustling adoption floor 🤔 The building features indoor/outdoor housing and a team of skilled, experienced behaviorists and volunteers working around the clock to give our animals a good Shelter life and a better chance at adoption 🥲 Next time you are on campus, make sure to visit the mutts on the hill-- they'd love to see you.
