This super cute, 6 year old gelding is looking for his next partner! He has a fantastic quiet mind is good on trails. Joey is barefoot, an easy keeper with personality plus - and some wheels!! This is the second time he's been taken through the poles. With some patterning this guy will be super competitive in barrels and poles. Or. Jump him! He has a ton of potential! Late in posting …. Catching up! I had the BEST teacher at Cal Poly SLO Mr Roger Hunt. I learned so much from him about patience horsemanship and “feel”. I am forever greatful to the education I received there! So when Tough Luck Trio and I were contacted by some fellow classmates that Roger had rescued some mares from an Indian reservation with full intentions of working with them… but with a recent back surgery limiting his mobility and at 80 years old he could just not safely continue. So we took a road trip up… took Roger to dinner at Madonna inn … ended up meeting other students of Roger’s there ( he’s like a celebrity in San Luis Obispo!), he escorted us in to the infamous men’s restroom there (if you have never been. It’s a tourist attraction must see!), did s little shopping and brought these lovely lucky mares home with us! Brownie is believed to be 28 and in the thin side … still foaled the nicest baby while at Roger’s… and we were told Bella was likely exposed to the same stallion and was likely pregnant as well. Fast forward 2 weeks. Bella bagged up and had a gorgeous filly. It was such a hot day. Despite a shaded stall and fans….Baby B. Got dehydrated and had to spend 2 days at the hospital getting fluids and ensuing all was well with her. Fortunately she responded well and is back home doing well. We never know what kind of issues we will run into getting new rescue horses. It keeps us always learning and we are greatful for our team of vets and your contributions that allow us to keep helping more horses! If you would like to donate to help these lovely mamas we would surely appreciate it! Stay tuned for their adventures! ❤️❤️❤️
