As we wrap up the last day of Week 1 Camp, I find myself feeling incredibly humbled.
This week was everything I could have hoped for and more. My volunteers absolutely crushed it. My students were exceptional. The energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn made this one of the most rewarding camps I've ever had the privilege of running.
Over the last three days, we packed in so many amazing experiences. Day one focused on horse safety and riding fundamentals. Day two brought fall safety lessons, farm interaction, and countless hands-on learning opportunities. Day three was full of adventure with horseback riding, roping, our amazing slime bar, and our Ranch Hand Run-Off challenge.
To every camper who participated in the Ranch Hand Run-Off—you earned yourselves a FREE trail ride with Miss Sarah! Watching you run in the heat, carry your horses through obstacles, feed and water them, and push yourselves to the finish line showed determination, grit, and heart. We are so proud of you.
To the parents who trusted us with your children, thank you. We never take that responsibility lightly. It is an honor to provide a safe, educational, and fun environment where kids can learn, grow, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
To our campers, thank you for showing up with smiles, positive attitudes, and a willingness to try new things. Camp simply would not exist without you.
To my volunteers, there are not enough words to express my gratitude. The camp experience we provide would not be possible without your hard work, patience, dedication, and willingness to jump in wherever needed. You are the backbone of what makes these camps successful.
A special thank you to Quinn, one of my former students who has now stepped into a volunteer role. Thank you for the incredible photography throughout camp. As a budding photographer, you were prompt, reliable, responsible, and captured so many special moments. I am so proud of the young person you are becoming.
To my own children, who worked beside me every step of the way, thank you. As a family, we have built this together. The sacrifices, hard work, and teamwork behind the scenes are what make all of this possible, and I couldn't do it without you.
And finally, thank you to Kathy Pettit for allowing us to use your beautiful facility, believing in me, encouraging me to push beyond my comfort zone, and helping me continue to grow as a business owner and instructor. Your support means more than you know.
In all my years of running camps, I can honestly say this was the best camp we've ever had.
Thank you to every person who played a role in making Week 1 such a tremendous success. We are already looking forward to seeing everyone for Week 2 next week!
