MEET MAGGIE: Maggie is a 2-year-old brindle Terrier mix who arrived as a stray in July and she’s been patiently waiting for her perfect match ever since. While passing her kennel, Maggie sits right at the front, quietly watching with hopeful eyes, waiting for someone to choose her.

This sweet girl is calm and independent. She already knows the basic “sit” command, especially when treats are involved (her absolute favorite). Maggie would do best in a home as the only pet.

Come meet Maggie at Seminole County Animal Services—you might be exactly who she’s been waiting for. ❤️🐾

MEET BUTTON: Looking for a cat with character? Button is your guy! This handsome 5-year-old knows exactly what he likes— head scratches, a cozy lap for naps, and plenty of attention (on his own terms, of course). He has become our office cat due to his major CATITUDE. 😼

Button spends most of his day trying to win the ongoing battle of curling in a lap and usually succeeds. He’s a spoiled gentleman known for his impressive biscuit-making skills and a purr that can be heard from across the room. A true foodie at heart, he eagerly awaits his nightly can of wet food and goes wild for catnip and toys.

He would do best in a home without other cats and with older children who understand his independence.

If you’re looking for a confident, affectionate companion with a big personality, you and Button would make the purr-fect match. ♥️🐾

Our Story

Effective September 1, 2014, Seminole County Animal Services (SCAS) will only accept those animals that were found within Seminole County and have been brought to our shelter by Seminole County residents (photo identification is required). While this policy is intended to cover the processing of stray animals received over the counter, it also covers owner-surrendered animals unless those same animals had been adopted from our shelter. This policy does not affect the adoption process, which remains open to the general public. For the purposes of public safety, it is highly recommended that any person that observes stray animals within Seminole County should avoid contact with same and immediately report the situation to our shelter. It also remains the responsibility of residents of other counties to locate resources for their owned animals within their own municipalities, and to locate other options that may be available to them if they were to travel to Seminole County. Please be sure to contact our shelter at phone #407-665-5201 with any questions regarding this policy. Our adoption shelter is equipped to hold approximately 80-100 dogs and 75-100 cats and is typically full. Seminole County Animal Services has your purr-fect match! Please visit all the wonderful cats, dogs, birds and small animals that we have for adoption!
