As we are gearing up to sit around the table with family and friends, please remember your furry family members should not indulge in many of the holiday favorites, such as ham, gravy, onions, garlic, sugar, chocolate, grapes/raisins, sugar-free foods, egg nog, or alcohol. Feeding your pets these foods can cause a host of medical issues, such as vomiting, diarrhea, and pancreatitis. If your pet is experiencing adverse symptoms, please call your local ER or urgent care while we're closed during the holiday. Keep your pets safe, and have a happy holiday!

What causes bad breath in dogs?

Dental examinations at least twice a year are recommended to help treat and prevent halitosis. Schedule your examination today and rid your pet of bad breath!

It’s an unfortunate fact that nearly 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have periodontal disease by the age of 3. Many pets don’t display signs of problems even though they are in pain, so getting your pet used to having their teeth brushed is good for their health and wellness.

While it’s best to teach your pet to accept toothbrushing while they are still young, adult dogs and cats can be trained. It may take a little longer, but it’s worth the effort. Associating rewards with the sessions, before, during and after, can help keep dental care a positive event.
