With springtime comes more flowers, and therefore more bees. We love bees, but not for our dogs!

Whether your pup accidentally steps on a bee while walking, or chooses to chomp on one flying by, bee stings can happen. What do you do?

This graphic covers some steps you can take to keep your pup safe. However, some dogs are very allergic to bees. If you notice any of the following symptoms after a sting, take your dog to an emergency vet right away.

* Severe swelling (especially around the head or neck)
* Hives
* Difficulty breathing or wheezing
* Excessive drooling
* Agitation
* Vomiting or diarrhea
* Dizziness or disorientation
* Seizures

We can’t prevent every situation, which is why it’s important to know what to do!

Today is National Little Pampered Dog Day! We love all our Campers, including our little ones. At Camp Run-A-Mutt, we test all dogs and separate them by energy level rather than size, so that smaller dogs can be comfortable with big ones. This can help dogs of all sizes socialize better!
