I woke up this morning feeling deeply grateful.
As of this morning, more than 2500 people have registered for the Animal & Human Awakening Summit!!
I am awed. I am still taking that in.
I am imagining all the people and animals who’re now part of this gathering.
Dogs.
Cats.
Horses.
Birds.
Rabbits.
Lizards, Turtles…
Humans seeking deeper connection, understanding, healing, intuition, presence, and relationship.
For years many of us have been having these conversations in smaller circles…
…and for some, not talking or sharing about their profound connections and experiences.
This feels like something beautiful becoming visible.
I don't take that sense of community and connection for granted.
I’ve known isolation, not feeling comfortable or safe sharing about these wild and beautiful sometimes ‘out there’ experiences…
Back in the 80’s and 90’s People looked at me like I had 7 heads when I did tentatively begin to share I was ‘talking with animals,’
And looked at me quizzically when I began sharing about seeing and talking with animals who had died.
And so my heart is overflowing with Thanks for every speaker, every participant, every animal, every conversation, every share, every invitation, and every person who has said yes.
This feels like a gathering of kindred hearts and souls, and much more than a summit. And definately more then just some speakers sharing on their own.
This is our collective of animals and humans co-creating the world we love with animals, a future with conscious connections, compassion, awareness expanding into what else is even possible?
My heart is overflowing with gratitude and appreciations.
Truly, together we rise stronger.
P.S. this picture is of me and Clifford the Mustang who lives at Return to Freedom Horse Conservancy and Mustang Sanctuary nearby in San Luis Obispo, CA
Neda DeMayo, Founder of Return To Freedom is also one of our amazing speakers!!
This precious Photo was taken by Liz Hines. We were standing on the side of a knoll. I watched Clifford and two of his friends walk around the side of a hill into view. They quietly, non-chalantly walked across the hill, and continued up the trail towards us.
I watched as Clifford stopped to meet Marlene who came with me that day. He turned and walked over to me. As I spoke with him, he gave me a horse hug wrapping his neck around me gently. Then as I pulled out my phone to take selfies together, he was looking over my shoulder at my phone.
It felt like he was laughing right along with me at taking pictures of ourselves together.
Liz captured that moment so amazingly beautifully didn’t she? Wow!
These mustangs have never had a bridle, halter or saddle on them. Never been trained at all. They live free. Were born free and wild and then removed from their land. Return to Freedom
Gave them a new home.
It is 💯% their choice if they interact with us, and in what ways. Theres nothing like a wild horse trusting you to approach and interact together.
Everytime I go there we’ve had different horses interact with us, in new and amazingly sweet and profound ways.
Although it felt like meeting up with an old friend, that day was the one and only time Clifford directly interacted with me. What an extraordinary blessing.
I am forever changed by our interaction and the pure joy of connection I felt. I hope he was too.
