We have to utilize a lot of different tools, including sedation, to safely examine our larger tortoises. In Nitro’s case he did not allow us to do a head exam and sample collection at his first exam. We expected to sedate him at his recheck but he allowed us to safely examine his head and collect a sample without needing to sedate.

We were visited by 3 beautiful kittens who are currently being fostered out of San Jose Animal Care Center! If you are looking to adopt or have space to foster reach out to your local shelters!

Spaying and neutering your cats (especially if they are outdoors at all) greatly helps reduce the amount of kittens during kitten season.
