🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP 🚨 This is Koechi. She’s a Devore survivor - 1 of 35 dogs that were part of confiscation case. And, now she needs our help again.

Time is of the essence. Koechi’s currently being boarded in SoCal. She’s not yet in our care, but will be transferred to us as soon as we secure a foster.

Koechi is a 1 y/o Aussie x Great Pyrenees mix. She’s sweet, nervous, and shy - and, understandably so. But she’s already showing us that she wants to trust. She wants to feel safe. The world is brand new to Koechi. It’s believed she spent most or all of her life outdoors. She’s never been on a leash or a walk and hasn’t known human touch or affection. She deserves the chance to learn what LUV feels like. 🤍

Koechi needs a safe and nurturing foster home where she can decompress, build confidence, and begin to trust so she can finally live the life she’s meant to live.

Here’s how we set Koechi and her foster up for success:
1.) A house with a private, securely fenced backyard, ideally in a quiet neighborhood
2.) A balanced, social male dog in the home to help her feel more comfortable
3.) A patient, supportive foster who can give her the time and space she needs
4.) Older, dog-experienced kids or no kids in the home.

A little more about Koechi -
• 1 y/o Aussie x Great Pyrenees mix
• Not yet spayed
• Will need a wellness checkup, plus parasite, and heartworm testing
• Matted coat in need of grooming (professionally or by her foster)

The rescue who pulled Koechi + her brother believed they both had an adopter on the East Coast. Unfortunately, the adoption arrangement fell through when the person coordinating it wasn’t able to follow through and bailed on their commitments. Her brother will soon be leaving for the adopter. When he leaves, Koechi will be alone in boarding. Please help us make sure that doesn’t happen.

Fostering is free. We provide essential supplies, medical care, and dedicated support from our team.

Yesterday we celebrated 2 adoptions 🎉

First up, Kobe — our silly little meatball with a heart and personality the size of a mastiff! Kobe was surrendered to us last year after his family decided they couldn’t give him the life he deserved. Thanks to our foster, we were able to welcome him into our LUVing family.

Today, and every day, we’re doubly grateful. We’re grateful to the furever families who chose to adopt one of our LUVs, opening up space for another deserving dog in need of a safe and LUVing home.

And, we are eternally grateful to our fosters. Without them, we can’t do what we do. We can’t help save lives without the kindness and generosity of our fosters who take a chance on LUV by opening their hearts and homes to help a dog in need.

Next, we’re so excited to share that Ferguson, no Scruffy, is officially home! After seeing our furiends All Dogs LA post about this handsome, scared boy who had been abandoned at a kids playground, we knew we had to help. Someone in the Bay saw our post and applied. It was an amazing foster-to-adopt opportunity that felt right from the very first conversation.

Today, and every day, we’re doubly grateful. We’re grateful to the furever families who chose to adopt one of our LUVs, opening up space for another deserving dog in need of a safe and LUVing home.

Help us name our newest LUV! We saved Carla ( ) from Devore yesterday but she doesn’t feel like a Carla to us ❌

What is she, you ask? Maybe part coyote, a little fox, and a whole lotta sweetness wrapped into a tiny little LUVer girl!

‼️ TEMP FOSTER NEEDED TODAY ‼️ We’re springing Carla ( ) from Devore this afternoon and need a dog-free home to help for a few days. More info 👇🏼

Her freedom flight to her foster in the Bay fell through so we need a temp foster until Sunday at the latest 🙏🏼

📍 It would be ideal if her temp foster is located on the Westside in LA so we can get her into our vet today or tomorrow.

Fostering is free! We provide all of their supplies and essential care. All we ask is you open your heart and home to give a dog in need a safe, supportive, and LUVing home to rest in.

Introducing Cali ✨💙✨ In all the commotion and craziness this past month, we forgot to introduce one of our newest LUVs. Cali’s a 1 1/2 y/o Black Lab mix from . She’s the Black Lab redefining what it means to be a good girl.

Her Personality 🫶🏼
Sweet, LUVing, and completely convinced that every moment is better with her in it. Cali can have a serious case of FOMO. She thrives when she’s part of the action and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near her people. She’s not needy; she’s devoted. There’s a difference, and Cali will absolutely make sure you feel it.

Introducing Ferguson 😍 Ferguson’s a 1-2 y/o terrier mix who was found and saved by our furiends 🙏🏼 He was abandoned at a kids playground, tied tightly to the jungle gym where kids were playing. He was terrified and overwhelmed by his world being flipped upside down, rightfully so 💔

Thankfully, that’s all in the past and Ferguson started his trial adoption and now calls himself a Bay Area boy. He’s adored by his new mama, human brother, and building a relationship with his fur sister, Lucianna.

Last week, Ferguson went and got the full glow up -> neuter, vaccines, and microchip. And then another checkup after showing us how smart he is by consistently escaping his cone to care to his incision 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now, he’s on the mend and LUVing life with his new family! A special thank you to his temp foster and for helping him make it to the Bay Area safe and sound 🥰

This is what it’s all about. Rescues and the community coming together, working towards a common goal to save lives.
