If your puppy has no idea what place means, start here. We teach Franklin from scratch that place means lie down and do not move until we say so. Franklin is learning that impulse control is what gets him the reward.

If your dog has no off switch at home, the place command will change everything. We teach Ham that place means go to your bed and stay there until you are released. Watch how he picked up on it quick!

How to get your dog to heel without treats? We start by luring Duke into the heel position with treats, then transition to sideways leash pressure so he learns to get into position without needing food in your hand. We say heel once, correct with a no when he breaks it, and release him once he has held it long enough.

If your puppy lunges at their food bowl the second you set it down, try this. We teach Franklin that going after the food before being released means the bowl gets picked right back up.

If your dog lies down for a treat but pops right back up, they do not actually know the down command. We start over with Stanley and teach him that down means stay until you hear the release word.

Drop means give me the toy, not just let go of it. Bear is learning fast that stepping back is what gets the game started again.

If your puppy freezes or fights the leash every time you put it on, this is how you fix it. We use food and light pressure to show him that moving with the leash is what gets him the reward.

Yes means you did something right and a reward is coming. No means you did something wrong and a consequence is coming.

Puppy biting is not something you can ignore or push away. We use a leash correction the moment his teeth make contact and then redirect him to a toy once he calms down so he learns what is actually okay to bite.

Food motivation can be a struggle for many dogs. We’ve found that not using high quality food is the #1 reason dogs struggle, and solid gold food toppers fix that!
