Look how darling this photo is of Cooper having sweet dreams. This is probably the best he has slept in weeks. For those of you who are just now seeing Cooper for the first time, he was at Carson Shelter, which is a very high kill shelter for approximately 4 weeks. He was so stressed out he was shutting down, he had kennel stress so bad he was trying to bite open the metal kennel doors. In addition, he was sleeping on the cement floors which had to be so hard on his senior body. When he left the shelter, he had some bleeding masses. Thankfully our amazing foster had some animax on hand which has stopped the bleeding and his masses are starting to scab over. Approximately in the next week or so, a very generous rescue will be stepping in to pay for all of his medical. This boy has been very sweet, well mannered and a perfect gentleman. If Copper only knew how many cheerleaders were rooting for him and how hard everyone fought feverishly to save his life! Make a difference in a dogs life today by offering to foster. This little angel is Luna. She turned 10 weeks yesterday. Her mama was a brindle Dachsund. Our amazing foster shared with us that her mother is having some health issues and she needs to tend to her mother, so we’re desperately looking for a new foster for Luna. We’d like to apologize that the video isn’t that clear however, you will be elated to know that we saved Cooper who was on death row from Carson shelter. This boy has some medical conditions however an organization stepped up to cover all of his medical!! How special is that?!! Cooper was at Carson for a little over a month. Thankfully the networkers fought tooth and nail to fight for Cooper’s life and kept requesting an extension. If you don’t recall who Cooper is go on our page and go several rows down. He was so stressed out he was biting the bars of the kennel. Our extraordinary foster who graciously opened up their home, shared with us that he doesn’t have any teeth! Well, maybe a few. Please follow Coopers journey as it was a task to bring everything together!! I have said it once, and I’ll say it again, it takes a village! Meet Everly. Everly is a female, 8 months and is a Pomeranian. Everly gets along with other dogs, and even cats! Everly prefers princess treatment and being a lap dog, prefers a comfy pillow, and not a dog bed. Everly is crate trained, and potty pad trained if it is raining or the days become long while her foster is out of the home. Everly likes all food, but prefers beef flavor and boiled chicken. She loves carrots uncooked and cooked.
Everly walks well off leash if she knows you, but if not keep the leash on her as she might be unpredictable. When she gets excited she tends to pull a little on the leash, however this is an easy fix. Everly is very affectionate, loving and loves to be by her person. Cobalt aka Kobe said hello to 2 neighborhood children yesterday and he did awesome! The children ran up to him and petted him and he was all smiles. The children even said he was “the most prettiest pitbull” (their words). Kobe is 3 years and 1 month old, and is a Staffy Mix. These 4 little cuties owner passed away. Thankfully we have some earth angels on the ground who are saving them and taking them to get altered. They are arriving to Del Mar Dog Rescue this coming Wednesday where they will go straight to our vet for examinations, and whatever else they may need. As you can imagine, these fur babies are sad and devastated at losing their mama. We need fosters so these angels don’t get surrendered to a shelter. DMDR will provide all supplies. We will also bathe the Chihuahuas and get the 2 white dogs groomed. Who is willing to open up your home to make a difference in their lives? They need a quiet place to land and someone who will be patient and love them unconditionally and show them tenderness.
