Beautiful Sophie’s journey to her forever home wasn’t an easy one, but thanks to lots of love and medical care, she finally has the life she deserves.

Sophie was surrendered to a shelter with her puppies after spending her whole life outdoors. She arrived underweight, with worms, ticks, and a badly injured leg that may have been the result of being hit by a car. The shelter reached out for help, and we knew this sweet girl needed us.

Once she arrived in our care, Sophie received the medical treatment she desperately needed. Her leg injury required surgery with an orthopedic specialist, and thanks to generous support, we were able to give her that chance. After healing from her orthopedic surgery, she was also spayed and continued her recovery surrounded by love and compassion.

The best part? Sophie has now been adopted into a wonderful forever home where she is thriving. She’s receiving ongoing care, including physical therapy for her leg, and her follow-up x-rays show that she’s healing beautifully. Her family describes her as “the sweetest thing ever,” and she’s enjoying her new life full of love, comfort, and companionship—even with her new kitty sibling.

From neglected and injured to healthy, adored, and safe—Sophie’s story is a reminder of what’s possible when compassion meets excellent medical care. 💕🐾

Benji at the shelter as a stray with a serious head wound that had abscessed and was causing him to spin in circles. Thanks to the shelter team, he received initial medical care and started to heal, but despite being adoptable, he wasn’t getting any interest.

That’s when his second chance began. Benji was brought into our care so he could get further evaluation and support. He was examined, treated for his injuries, and even seen by a neurologist to help us understand what lasting effects he might face. The good news: while Benji may always have some visual impairments and a tendency to spin when excited, he is otherwise a healthy, happy, adoptable dog with a full life ahead of him.

Once medically cleared, Benji was given the chance to experience life outside of a cage for the first time in far too long. At a local pet resort, he got to play, run, learn, and soak up all the love he deserved. It was exactly what this young pup needed—socialization, training, and joy.

Finally, the perfect family came along, ready to accept Benji just as he is and give him the love, care, and exercise he needs. Today, he is home, thriving, and already bonding beautifully with his new furry sibling.

Molly came to us through GRCGLA Rescue. She had been a mama multiple times, and had even traveled internationally! We fixed her hernia, spayed her (which was more difficult given she was quite chubby and had had at least 1 c-section), and gave her tons of loving. She wasn't with us for very long- she was adopted by a wonderful Golden-loving family pretty quick! Best of luck to you, Molly! Now YOU get to be the baby!
