On our very first Wednesday afternoon TikTok Live, we met a beautiful soul named Betty Boop.
She was the very last pup brought out to the play yard. The moment Betty Boop came outside, it was love at first sight. ❤️
As the Live came to an end, Betty Boop climbed up beside me and spent the final 10-15 minutes soaking up love, attention, and affection. When the cameras stopped rolling, I couldn’t bring myself to leave her. We sat together for another 20 minutes before I finally walked her back to her kennel.
Then something happened I’ll never forget.
As we arrived at her kennel, employees removed her kennel card and replaced it with a “Dirty Cage” sign.
The death march had begun.
Betty Boop’s time was up.
But Paws Saving Paws couldn’t let that happen.
Because people showed up. Because people watched. Because people shared. Because people cared.
We immediately sent in a rescue tag.
Today, Betty Boop is SAFE. 🐾❤️
She is currently completing her quarantine with Paws Saving Paws and she is absolutely AMAZING! She is housebroken, full of tail wags, overflowing with love, and perfectly content just being alive and surrounded by people who care.
A few weeks ago, Betty Boop was walking toward the euthanasia room.
Today, she’s walking toward her future.
