Our Story

Pure Pet's goal is to provide the proper supplies and information for owners to give their pets long, happy and healthy lives. We carry many species of animals which have been carefully researched and chosen for their personality, compatibility with humans, and ease of care in captivity.

Pure Pet opened March 6, 2010, and our second child was born just 3 weeks later. Our family has grown along with our store. We moved from our tiny 600sf store on State Street to our current location on Penn Ave. and our three children can often be found “helping” us or customers around the store.

In May of 2017 we branched out, and up, adding products for green-minded humans on the second floor of our building. This division is called Greenest - Living Thoughtfully. You can find products for daily living with fair trade ingredients originating from around the world, as well as beautiful unusual and rare tropical plants suitable for the home or terrarium.
