You might be familiar with the classic nursery rhyme 'Three Blind Mice.' We have three adorable kittens who fit this description, but they are more than their disability. Other than being blind, these kittens are incredibly healthy and full of life. The two larger kittens are siblings and would prefer to stay together. The smallest kitten's vision might improve with time. We would appreciate it if you wouldn't take offense to the nursery rhyme reference, as we strive to keep our spirits high despite dealing with tough cases daily. These babies deserve a loving home, and we're sure they'll bring immense joy. If you're interested, please get in touch with us.❤️🐾😻

These are our 5 cats (4 females, 1 male 10 mos old) that were left on our porch on the morning of Sunday April 12th. There was originally 6 and we have found one of them a home but, we need help adopting out the others. We have 5 more kittens -some with disabilities that we will need homes for in the next few weeks.

Warning maybe graphic for some- we wanted to alert residents of Jekyll Island to the POSSIBILITY of an aggressive animal (raccoon or bobcat). We just had one of our patients brought in with significant wounds from being attacked this morning during daylight hours. Dr Ryan does not feel that they are likely from a dog or domestic cat. There were no eye witnesses although the neighborhood is on watch. This is a strong reminder to ensure the safety of your cats and to absolutely ensure they are current in preventative rabies vaccination. We DO have rabies cases in Glynn County every year. Rabies is considered 100% fatal in humans and is a preventable disease!

MOST RECENT UPDATE 4/26:
Owner has been found❣️We cannot believe it-the owners lost everything in the fire but, brave “Skittles” somehow made it through. We need to remain strong and find joy in the small miracles right now amongst all the loss. And please rain🌧️

We have started to receive the “lucky ones”. This brave sweet cat made it through the fire and was rescued by No Kill Glynn County last night. It is going to take an entire community to help everyone including the animals make it through this disaster- keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers as it continues to devastate. (I didn’t add the pics of his poor burnt paw pads😢😢❤️‍🩹)

Passing along some current info from other posts- please stay alert, aware and heed all evacuations and safety measures. New evacuation orders have been announced. This fire is still extremely active +7500 acres and >70 homes destroyed.

We have patients and their owners (along with Dr Ryan’s family) in the path of this fire. Please stay alert and aware of all road closures, evacuations and shelters. Many neighborhoods are under a mandatory evacuation (Dr Ryan’s niece lives in The Hawks Landing neighborhood and evacuated a few hours ago). Common sense today, air conditions are not great. Early morning fog mixed with the smell and smoke from the Brantley fires- if you or your cat have any respiratory issues, please be aware of the conditions. Last we heard it was 75% contained.  Depending on weather conditions and wind directions this might last a little while.
