❤️🐩🐾 MEET "WILLOW"
She is a Beautiful, Gentle Female Looking for Her Forever Home. WILLOW is a lovely 15-month-old Bernedoodle with a calm, affectionate nature and a wonderful start on the skills that make a terrific companion. She is beautiful inside and out: sweet, smart, eager to please, and very easy to love.

She rides nicely in the car, walks politely on a leash, and gets along beautifully with other dogs of all sizes and with children. She is fully potty trained. In her foster home, she is also accustomed to living peacefully with two parrots, showing just how adaptable and gentle she can be.

Willow is 25” tall and weighs 55 lbs. she is located in Boca Raton. She requires a fenced yard and an active family.

If you are looking for a devoted, well-mannered young dog with a calm temperament and lots of love to give, WILLOW may be your perfect match.

In the words of Alexis, her foster mom...
Gypsy's foster journey has come to an end, and she's off to her forever home!
Little Gypsy came into rescue shortly after giving birth and has spent her time in foster care learning about the finer things in life—food toppers, cozy dog beds, leash walking, and potty training!

After getting her spay and dental completed, she was officially ready to find her forever family. Her new mom, Amanda, fell in love with her, and Gypsy is now Margot! She'll be enjoying her life with Amanda and two feline siblings. So happy for this sweet girl and her next chapter!

Thanks to Brian for picking her up, to Becky for checking references and especially to Alexis, an incredible foster mom who took wonderful care of Gypsy who was not in the best shape when she arrived, but doing very well now!

APOLLO FINDS TRUE LOVE
Apollo came to us as a very sick puppy who had been returned to the breeder. We were not given much detail regarding the real cause of his health issues.

Further medical examination, testing and referral to a specialist, determined that he had a portosystemic liver shunt that would require surgery. While it will be a delicate operation, it is the type of shunt that can be repaired with surgery.

Foster mom, Leslie, was taking excellent care of Apollo, but we felt it would be better to place him in his forever home so he could get settled with his new family. Florida Poodle Rescue agreed we would still pay for his surgery.

Along came John and Joanne, a wonderful and experienced couple who were looking for a new baby to love. They went to meet Apollo and from the moment foster mom Leslie opened the door, his tail started wagging and never stopped! They played with him, he ran back and forth chasing toys and bringing them back. Then he took a nap in Joanne's lap.

John and Joanne agreed to adopt him, knowing he will need to undergo surgery in the next few weeks. They are experienced with special needs poodles and are prepared to provide him with excellent pre- and post-operative care. When his new mom went out to her car to retrieve her purse, he cried at the door until she came back to him!

We are certain that he will enjoy the undivided attention from his new parents and having a backyard to play.

Initial updates from John and Joanne are very positive; Apollo is learning to sit on command and walk on a leash. Once he recovers from his surgery, he will enjoy many new adventures.

Thanks to Becky for checking references, Anne for doing the home visit, and Mary who picked him up and took great care of him until we transferred Apollo to Leslie--so he could be closer to the specialists. Apollo was also lucky to enjoy socializing with Obi, Mary's poodle and with Reign and Ell owned by Leslie.

❤️🐩🐾MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!
Miss Leeda was a desperate little stray found wandering by the county. She was in terrible condition with a broken leg that required amputation and a growth that had to be surgically removed from her chest.

From the moment we picked her up, we realized that she was one special little girl. She was never deterred by a missing leg or her limited vision.

She enjoyed her trips out into the backyard and managed going up the steps to get back in the house one step at a time! She also loved to investigate and would get in and out of narrow spaces.

She always seemed happy and never had an accident in the house. She loved cuddling with her foster mom Diane in the recliner and would nest herself on her left side.

It took a little while to get her cleared for adoption because Leeda also had some renal issues, a second small lump on her chest, and had to be spayed.
She also needed a dental. We were concerned that if her kidney issues were advanced we wouldn't be able to put her under anesthesia again.

She went on a special diet and we had blood and urine tests done until we were given the green light to do the additional surgeries.

Elise who is a fantastic dog mom and has adopted dogs from Florida Poodle Rescue, was very interested in Leeda. Elise has a soft heart for seniors and dogs needing special love and attention. These two ladies are now enjoying life together!

❤️🐩🐾WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
Congratulations to Watson (renamed Draco) on finding his new forever home!!

He is a sweet 20 month old Standard Poodle. He came to Florida Poodle Rescue because his previous owners felt they could not give him the structure and routine he needed.

He loves to play fetch, but squeaking tennis balls is his favorite. He has them in his mouth all the time. He also loves water, especially the garden hose variety. He learns new things quickly, especially if there are tasty treats involved!

Dana and her family missed their former Poodle who sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge in April and their home just wasn't the same without a fur baby.

When Dana's daughter, Abby, saw Watson (now Draco) on Facebook, the family fell in love with him and completed an adoption application right away.

After meeting Watson at his foster home, the family felt they were all an absolute perfect match with this handsome boy!

Thank you to our intake and Transport team, and Lynne for completing reference checks. Thank you to Robin for the home visit, and especially for being such a wonderful foster mom!

Toby was adopted and is really enjoying his new home and the love and attention he is getting from his new mom, Pamela.
Toby starts puppy classes next week!
We hope to see his graduation picture!!
