♥️🐩🐾 LOVE AT LAST!
Jay Jay was not in the best condition when he came to Florida Poodle Rescue. Leslie, a wonderful volunteer, picked him up and also fostered him.
He was a bit nervous at first and had separation anxiety--he would cry if he didn't have Leslie in sight.
He had skin allergies due to a flea infestation, an ear infection and his teeth were in terrible condition. Due to his advanced age and being a little frail we took him to a specialist in pet dentistry where most of his teeth had to be removed.
Little by little and with the help of foster mom's two poodles, Jay Jay started feeling more comfortable and secure. He was also very sweet.
Arlene and Gene are no strangers to Florida Poodle Rescue. The senior poodle they adopted in 2018 passed away and they were looking to adopt another senior poodle.
Once Jay Jay healed from his dental extractions and his skin and ear infections healed, it was time to meet Arlene and Gene.
Jay Jay immediately took to both of them and enjoyed being held. He sat in Arlene's lap for a while and then he walked over to Gene for some more attention.
When it was time to leave, Jay Jay walked on a leash to his new mom and dad's car and never looked back. Foster mom Leslie is sure that he will be loved and spoiled by this wonderful couple.
Thanks to Eileen for checking references and especially to Leslie for loving Jay Jay and taking such good care of him.
