Feline Rescue, Inc. is a Minnesota based no-kill companion cat rescue organization. Our founders established Feline Rescue in 1997 in Minneapolis, MN as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are a volunteer based organization. is funded exclusively through donations and grants. We provide rescue and relief to the homeless and endangered cats in our community through programs that offer shelter,

foster, social and medical rehabilitation, feral and stray management, spay/neuter subsidy, and community education.

Voting for Feline Rescue's 2027 Calendar Contest is OPEN from now until October 4th at 8:00pm CT!

Entries will be rolling in and, as in prior years, there will be so many adorable kitties in the running. Haven't entered? There is still plenty of time!

One of our foster cats, Friday, escaped from his foster home today. He escaped in Minneapolis near Como Ave SE and 15th ave SE. Cheyenne is a total sweetie pie. She loves pets and cuddling up next to you. Her long fur is so pretty, and she loves to have it brushed.

Her weight and her arthritis make it difficult for her to groom herself, so you'll have to give her a hand. But you won't mind with those green eyes and motorboat purrs. She also has early kidney disease so will need to be on a special diet.

I am sure you will easily fall in love with this friendly, sweet girl.

Order up! We're serving Boba. Just like his namesake, Boba's sweet milk tea base is complemented by popping bubbles of energy and affection. He is an adoring lap cat, with particular preferences that might make him an ideal work or study buddy. He will often take the liberty of rearranging your seating setup to better meet his needs. He is intensely affectionate, greeting you by rubbing up against your legs and purring.

Simultaneously, Boba holds firm boundaries, which he communicates with a flicking tail. At times, Boba finds he wants the best of both worlds with close affection and respectful distance. His ideal adopter will be able to discern when he is overwhelmed and respond with care.

Boba's favorite part of himself is his tapioca pearls of playtime. He is a fierce hunter and desires active playtime with his future adopter. During times of high emotion, one of Boba's coping strategies is to take his frustration out on a deserving toy. One of his favorite ways to play is with a wand toy beneath a blanket, where he can pounce and prey.

If you are a person who values energy, communication, and love, Boba will be the right fit for you!

Missie comes with a forehead kiss tax and a lot of love. She'll protect you while you're in the bathroom and keep your lap warm. She doesn't judge you for being furless.

Missie needs someone who is kind and patient. She will take some time to warm up to a new human, but that trust will be rewarded with her constant companionship. She will always be at your side, either leaning against your legs or sleeping next to you on her own pillow.

Jingle all the Way and Loki are bonded. They must be adopted together.

Meet Loki and Jingle All the Way, a truly special bonded pair who are happiest when they're together.

Loki is a loving, gentle brother who has a wonderful bond with Jingle. He loves to groom and cuddle with her, and his presence has been a great comfort to Jingle, who has epilepsy. Together, they've formed an incredibly sweet partnership, and Loki has helped greatly in keeping Jingle's seizures away.

These two are a pretty chill pair. They enjoy getting pets and having some playtime, but they're just as content curling up together for a cozy nap. Loki and Jingle truly enjoy each other's company and it brings out the best in one another.

Loki and Jingle would do best in a calm, loving home where they can continue to feel safe, secure, and, most importantly, happily together.

Orbit: Independent Thinker Seeking Room with a View

Orbit is a special agent who was found outside Feline Rescue. After three weeks, he gave the shelter a zero-star review for its small spaces and loud shelter vibe. He upgraded to a foster home studio but is ready for touchdown in his forever home.

The Stats
- Vibe: Sweet and friendly, but on his own terms.
- Hobbies: Cautiously exploring, judging from afar, and setting healthy boundaries.
- Cat Status: Tolerates other felines.
- The Spicy Side: Orbit had one incident where he bit a human and broke skin. He was simply overstimulated and over-handled. Think of him like a fuzzy cactus; beautiful to look at, but handle with care.

Your Job Description
- Must be fluent in cat body language (e.g., mouth on hand means "stop petting").
- Must promise not to force him into a sweater or smother him with hugs.
- Must provide a quiet launchpad room where he can slowly build his confidence.

If you are a patient cat-whisperer who respects a guy who knows his limits, Orbit wants to hire you as his landlord.

Speedy was found in Little Canada. They are safe at Feline Rescue. Please note names mentioned were given at Feline Rescue, this may not be their actual name.

If you think this may be your cat, please send a photo along with location and date lost to [email protected]. They will not be available for adoption until their 5 day stray hold is done if they are 12 weeks or older. If they are below 12 weeks old, they will be unavailable in a foster home until they are old enough for surgery at around 12 weeks of age. Then they move to the shelter for adoption and will be available at that time.
