When It's Hot

It was a bit toasty today but things still needed accomplished. So I hauled several buns down to the house and got some ears tattooed.

This handsome blue/fawn tri will be hopping to his new home soon.

EDIT: I am going to get 3 hanging cages ordered to start. I will need commitments from people though. I don't need to buy hanging if I am just going to have to cut my stackers. J Feeders are not included but could be for an additional $5 each.

EDIT UPDATE:
Patterson will be hopping to a new home. I am really happy for him. His new domicile will be under the shade of the trees and he will be able to go out in a run. Knowing how much he loves to run and kick his heels, this will be a wonderful setting for him. It's a bitter-sweet as he is loved dearly. I am confident he will get plenty of love at his new home too.
He will have a date with Flower before he leaves. I would love to have one more Grand Champion out of this pairing.

I am considering trading Patterson for another tri herd buck. "IF" I do, I will be extremely picky in the trade.

My brindle/tri rabbits are all related to him and most have him on their pedigree at least 2 times. I don't have an issue with line breeding but I feel it is time to pull in other genetics.

If I had the space, I would just keep him and buy another tri.
Maybe there is someone else that has a beloved boy that is in the same situation. If that is you, please message me with details of your trade. I will be traveling to Oregon in two weeks so that direction would be convenient.

Patterson's is just over 3 years old. He has sired over 20 litters with an average of 7-8 kits per litter. Photo is of his early days.

What About Gertrude

Well I am glad you asked!
I am very happy with the judges comments on her. She didn't earn any legs due to only 3 lilacs entered.

In Show A she got BOV over Lyle. Lyle got BOSB so that said a lot for Gertrude.

Show B was close but her half brother got BOV and Gertrude got BOSV.

Rex Specialty was a lot of DQs. Both Lyle and Gertrude were DQd for a white toenail. ❓️

That's okay. Since they are both Sumo Line, I need a few more generations before they can be registered and granded.

All in all, I am super happy with how this line is shaping up.

Oh Rewby

This girl is begging (again) to be a mama. As of yesterday she is retired from showing.
She will be bred on August 15 to Kieran. With this kindle I can learn a lot of her genotype.

Photos of her dewlap injury will be posted in the comments. My guess is it was a bot fly or cyst.
Thank you Lord for sparing my beautiful Rewby.

Velvet, Rewdy and Rewby are all siblings out of Grand Champions Bella Rose Raven and Dreamin Rupert.
They are all 3 registered and will be Grand Championed as well.

Bella Rose Lyle is from my Sumo Line! I am so proud of this handsome buck. He earned 2 BOSB today giving him 2 ARBA legs. I will most likely not show him again since he cannot be registered. Being a buck from my project line, he is only second generation Rex on the Sumo leg.
Indigo is his daughter.

Honorable Mention
Wednesday, my broken doe, earned Best in Fur over Velvet in two shows. She placed second in all 3 shows with Kathie Wilson's doe taking first.
