RECALL ALERT - Viva Raw LLC, Charlotte, NC is voluntarily recalling two lots of dog and cat foods due to contamination with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes. The recall is for Lot 21495 (Viva Ground Beef for Dogs; Viva Beef & Turkey for Puppies) and Lot 21975 (Viva Ground Chicken for Dogs; Viva Chunked Chicken for Dogs; Viva Chicken for Cats; Viva Pure Chicken).

The products were distributed between July 2, 2025 and August 21, 2025 directly to consumers nationwide and to a small number of select retailers in NY, IL, SC, FL, KS, CA, and AZ. The product is distributed as frozen 1 lb. bricks in clear vacuum packaging and the lot number is printed on the top of the packaging. MORE: http://bit.ly/468C99x

Hunter has been at SJAC less than 1 year, but has gained the love of many patients in this short time. Hunter enjoys exotic animals and used to own some years ago, like frogs! In his free time he likes to sleep, listen to music and play video games.

Kiali has been here at SJAC for about a year.
When she is not having fun and working she is typically hanging out with her 2 fur babies, binge watching her favorite TV show, or watching a marvel movie. She also enjoys working on projects or crocheting.

Hello Izzy!

Izzy is starting her second year of vet nursing in the fall at Purdue University. She has 3 cats names Harry, Taylor, and Benji, and one dog named Zoey.
When she is not here at SJAC, she enjoys spending time with family, golfing or going to concerts.

Say hello to Katie!

Katie has been a Veterinary Assistant at SJAC for over 2 years. She earned an online “Approved Veterinary Assistant” certificate last year, which she started working towards before she was hired at SJAC. She adores coming to work to not only help with animals, but put a smile on everyone’s faces! Also putting together puppy and kitten folders brings her joy.
When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her two boys, particularly watching them play sports, and taking care of her 3 dogs and 1 cat! She also enjoys quality family time, gardening, watching any and all crime shows, and coming up with new recipes!
