One of my favorite parts of our rescue is the ability to help people and their pets in our community navigate the veterinary system and get the help they need even when they can’t afford it. The big dog in the left hand corner is Lunker his mom was quoted $3000 to remove the mass. I talked to my vets and we were able to remove and make him much more comfortable for a lot less. The frenchie is in heart failure but their vet was convinced the dog needed exploratory surgery at the tune of $5000. Thank you for diagnosing her heart failure and we are helping with meds. Bogart is the cat that showed up at our family barn. Super friendly but needed to be neutered and have his ear mites treated. He now will live out his life at my dad’s bachelor pad of cats!! Sweet Jemma the pitbull was dropped off to a women with very little resources. We worked on transport from lake county and got her to Napa for a spay and vaccines. We were worried she might be pregnant so thanks to we were able to get her in the next day!! We do a lot of coordinating and scrambling to try and help as many people as possible. All while working full times jobs. We couldn’t do it with out our donors and our vet partners!! 🩵Deassa Co-founder.
