Today’s surgery: an abdominal exploratory to remove a foreign object causing a gastrointestinal obstruction.

These cases can become emergencies quickly, but with prompt treatment, many pets go on to make excellent recoveries!

A friendly reminder to keep your pets cool during this heat wave! ✨

🐕Keep walks short and limit time outdoors.
⛅️Walk early in the morning or later in the evening when it’s cooler.
💧 Make sure they always have access to fresh water and shade.
🔥 If the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

If your pet is panting excessively, seems weak, is vomiting, or collapses, seek veterinary care right away!

Fourth of July is almost here… and while we look forward to the celebration, many pets don’t. ✨🐾

Pacing, panting, shaking, hiding, and trying to escape are all common signs of firework anxiety.

If your pet has struggled with fireworks in the past, give us a call before the holiday to discuss anxiety medication. Planning ahead helps ensure your pet is comfortable when the fireworks begin!
