What a way to finish out our summer at WEC! First off I want to say thank you to our amazing barn family for making horse showing fun and exciting! We had a lot of winning as well as a lot of learning at this show! Julianna Steffanelli finished out the summer CIRCUIT CHAMPION in the Children’s Pony Equitation and was Reserve Champion in the Children’s Pony Hunters . Samantha Fornasier was Reserve Champion on her newly acquired Pinky Swear. Spicy ( Alexandria ) Fornasier was Reserve Champion ground rails equitation and won a crossrails class! Cara Mia and Maddy Chapman got top ribbons in the low children’s Eq and were 2nd in the low children’s hunter classic! Cocenthaga PS and Michelle got top ribbons in the 3’6” greens and was 5th in her very first high derby 3’6”- 3’9”. Hickstead Blue got top ribbons in the young hunters and has found his new home out in TX. It was an emotional week for all of us. Thank you to for all of your help with the ponies and Blue. Thank you to .schlueterr for coming to help me with the derby. Huge thanks to .mckenzie4 for making the horses sparkle. All but one of my kiddos has left for college and the barn is a bit quieter . That just means I have stalls open for the very first time in a very long time. Ready for the next crop of kiddos to join my budding team and to bring over some new imports!

This is such a bittersweet show post that has taken me awhile to truly reflect on my time spent with such a special group of kids that are about to leave the nest to go to school . So I’ll start with the Tryon highlights! Samantha Baggett and Seoul De Rasse were Champion in the 1.0m junior jumpers . Hickstead Blue and Michelle were Champion in the Young Hunters and 9th in the national derby. All My Love ridden by Savannah and Michelle was Reserve Champion USHJA 2’6” hunter. Ava and All My Love were Reserve Champion in the Low Children’s Hunters. Olivia and Sari GP Z were third in the Zones Team for the 1.0m junior jumpers. Elizabeth and Redwine Supernova were 4th in the Zones Individual the first day. King Kong V.G. and MC were 2nd in a very competitive 1.10m junior jumpers. Cocenthaga Ps and Michelle got top ribbons in the 3’3” green hunters and were 10th in the national derby. Mr. Untouchable and Savannah Schlueter got top ribbons in the ushja 2’6” and 2’9”. Mr. Untouchable and Juliet got top ribbons in the low adult eq and low adult hunters. Pull the Trigger and Mairin got top ribbons in the 3’6” small junior hunters and were 7th in the jr/ am derby . All of those results are just amazing, but if you know me, then you know it’s all about the journey. For four girls , this was their very last horse show with us. We lost Amelia to a broken leg - from skiing , in February . So five brilliant teenage girls : Amelia, MC, Elizabeth, Olivia, and Mairin will be on their way to start a whole new chapter of their lives in the next week. We are all teary eyed, but so incredibly proud of the riders/ women that you have become right before our very own eyes.

Here we are at two months and look at how big Zeus has become! Keep in mind that his momma is 17 h. He is so incredibly sweet and cuddly; they just grow up so fast! Emerald Silver makes the most beautiful babies!
