This week has been hard. Pulled up to my client's house, I was told this was his last bath 🥹. I've been taking care of this pup for about 4/5 years. I started grooming this handsome boy because he was turned away from Petsmart because he wouldn’t stand, so they couldn’t groom him. He was a bit older when I started grooming him, but it was their loss, my gain. Of course, he didn’t want to stand, but that was okay; I loved him, and we worked around it. He was comfortable, relaxed, and when he didn’t want to stand, he plopped down and gave me the look, saying 'you just gotta work around me,' so I did. He saw me pull up, knew it was bath or haircut time, and hopped into the trailer. As grooming sessions went on, his hops became - I needed to be helped into the trailer. And then his eyes became more glossy and more cataracts appeared as time went on; they became more fragile. All they want is your love and affection. I was able to do that for him; it was a hard groom that day, but I couldn’t have been more blessed to have been his groomer. The thing is, I have come across so many pets I have groomed in the past and so many seniors I groom to this day. I am blessed to have been their groomer, still their groomer. Building the bond and trust I have with these pups is something I can’t explain; I don’t think I ever can. I have lost senior pups that have crossed the rainbow bridge, and each and every one has left a special place and their story in my heart that I will always cherish forever. But moments like this are why I do what I do. Every pet deserves a chance and to be loved 🥰 I wanna thank Christy R Johnson for being here with me though this journey and get to experience all the love we give & get from these pups.

🔥 Please, watch for your dogs when walking,
Also if you see someone and it’s too hot be the voice of another pet, Some people may not know or be educated, that the pavement can be super hot especially with us reaching triple digits🥵
