The first Scoop® Marshmallow Scabiosa blooms are starting to open, and they’re every bit as dreamy as I hoped. Soft shades of blush, rose, cream, and marshmallow pink unfurl from intricate pincushion centers, creating blooms that look almost too perfect to be real.

One of my favorite things about scabiosa is watching the transformation. What begins as a tightly packed little button slowly opens into a ruffled, romantic bloom full of texture and movement. Every stage is beautiful.

These are quickly becoming a farm favorite and I can already imagine them tucked into wedding bouquets, garden-style arrangements, and market bouquets throughout the season.

Now the hard part: deciding whether I love the blushy pinks or the deep raspberry blooms more. 💕

🌱 Regeneratively grown
🐝 Pollinator friendly
🚫 No synthetic pesticides or herbicides
🌸 Harvested fresh from the garden

This little quail is hard at work in the flower patch, helping patrol for insects while we harvest snapdragons.

At Kiku Flower Farm, we focus on building healthy soil, encouraging beneficial insects, and creating habitat for wildlife rather than relying on synthetic pesticides.

Turns out some of our best farm employees work for bugs.

There’s something magical about spotting that very first bloom. After months of planting, pinching, staking, and waiting, the dahlias are finally waking up.

This little beauty is just beginning to unfurl, but it’s a promise of what’s to come—buckets of color, armloads of blooms, and one of my favorite flower seasons of the year.

The flower farm calendar officially has a new chapter: dahlia season begins. ❤️

🌻 First sunflowers of the season! 🌻

I can hardly believe it—we already have our first cuts of ProCut Lemon Lite and ProCut Gold Lite blooming in the field. These early beauties are bringing all the summer vibes while spring flowers are still going strong.

The soft buttery yellow of Lemon Lite and the rich golden petals of Gold Lite are absolute standouts, and at nearly 3 feet tall, they’re already making a statement. Cut-and-come-again season is officially underway!

Who else gets excited when the first sunflower opens? 💛☀️.

The poppies this week have been unreal ✨

Every stem opens a little differently—ruffled petals, glowing centers, colors that somehow get better in the evening light. Mixed in with honeywort, orlaya, dianthus, and all the little spring extras, this jar feels like peak May.

These are the arrangements that make all the early mornings worth it. 🌿💐
