This little direct to floral designer farm stand bench is having a season this year! Week after week orders are coming in. Big orders, small orders, branchy orders. New to me designers are finding out about my fresh cut garden foliages too. I typically sell bulk buckets off the stand, washed, not fused with, no bands, in clean buckets, harvested less than 24 hours before pick up, well hydrated, ready for your design needs. Yesterday 5 am .sf I met armloads of this beauty. I didn’t find out the grower? I watched florists hustle to see if any was available. I watched patiently pass out the bunches to staff based on preorders. I’m growing a beautiful tall white aster, but these were different. More fluff on top, more compact. I walked away in love and curious. Yesterday 11am after a delivery of foliage to Elk Grove I decided to wander through . Look who was there and who had to come home with me. Aster ericoides Monte Cassino my new love. Adding her to the little aster collection, 5 species and growing here on the flower farm.💙💜🤍

I sourced local flowers and foliages for good friends of my daughter and son in law, Paul and Catalina’s wedding. A family friend of the bride created all the centerpieces and bridal party bouquets with the foliages and flowers I delivered while I built out an arbor and entrance pieces for the outdoor ceremony. 95 percent of the botanicals used here were sourced within 25 miles of the event from 4 farms, Sweet Mabel's Farm, Killdeer Farms, , and my urban farm Plant + Bunch. The fields I picked and gathered from were overflowing with summer abundance and the table flowers all held up to this brutally hot week here in the valley. At 114 F during my arbor build, there was some melting and wilting going on outdoors, including this grower wearing a florist hat for the day, but it came together beautifully and most importantly, the bride and groom loved their colorful ceremony arbor which I didn’t know turn into the frame of the sweetheart table for all to enjoy for the rest of the night🌸
