Worth the read…

Let’s take a moment to think here about when setbacks in dressage make you question everything

Let’s be real for a minute.
What happens when you’ve given everything, time, money, energy, heart and it still feels like you’re not getting to the next level?
What if your horse just doesn’t have the talent?
What if you start wondering if you do?

Is that failure?

Here’s the truth:
Dressage isn’t a straight path. It’s a winding, frustrating and tough journey and setbacks? They aren’t failures. They’re part of the story.

Sometimes we need to shift the goalpost, not give up, just refocus.
Maybe it’s not about the next level. Maybe it’s about deeper connection, better basics, more joy, a different kind of growth.

Your worth as a rider isn’t defined by your scores or your level.
It’s in the way you show up.
It’s in the patience, the small wins, the ride you gave on a hard day.
It’s in loving your horse through the struggle.

You haven’t failed.

A couple of us ventured out in the blistering cold for the first show of the year at VA Eventing and we all had a blast! Ryan Hill and SM Out of Focus won the tadpole division with Lottie Crawford and It’s My Time close behind in second. Jess Bowen and SWC Not My Circus won the pre-green. Good job guys!
