🌦️🐾 Chip made the most of the breaks between the rain with lots of leaping, bounding, and happy zoomies around the yard!

We’re happy to report that his very first stay with us at Sterling Acres Kennel LLC was a huge success! 💙 He settled in great, had plenty of fun, and kept us smiling with his playful energy all weekend long.

We can’t wait to have this sweet boy back for more adventures! 🐶💨

🇺🇸🐾 We were BUSY this Memorial Day weekend at Sterling Acres Kennel LLC!

Millie and Rader were back enjoying their own little vacation while their parents were away. From playtime to relaxing and soaking up all the attention, these two made themselves right at home again! ❤️🐶

We love getting to spend holidays with our furry regulars and making sure they have just as much fun as their humans do! 🐾✨

Foggy mornings + zoomies = camera chaos 😂🌫️🐾

Miss Rosemary was living her best life this morning, racing through the fog with full-speed zoomies and absolutely zero interest in holding still for pictures. Most of her photos turned into adorable blurs… which honestly feels pretty accurate for zoomie mode! 💨📸

Safe to say she’s having a blast at Sterling Acres Kennel LLC ❤️

At Sterling Acres Kennel LLC, we truly appreciate every family that trusts us with their pets. 🐾❤️

We wanted to share a gentle reminder that our boarding schedule operates alongside our home, family, and personal responsibilities. While we always do our best to remain flexible and accommodating, our intake and pick-up times are set intentionally so we can balance caring for your pets with caring for our own family as well.

We kindly encourage everyone to double-check travel plans, arrival times, and pickup arrangements before scheduling boarding reservations whenever possible. Advance planning helps things run more smoothly for both our guests and our family.

We always try to work with clients when unexpected situations come up, but last-minute changes to scheduled drop-off or pick-up may not always be available. If a time slot is left unscheduled, we may use that window for family time, errands, & appointments.

Thank you for your understanding, kindness, and continued support of our small business — we appreciate you all more than you know!

Bentley was soaking up the calm before the rain this afternoon 🌸🐾

One of our sweet regular pittie girls, Bentley took her time enjoying a peaceful stroll around the yard — stopping to sniff the flowers, explore all the good smells, and enjoy the fresh air while her rowdy younger sisters ran circles around her 😂💕

She was perfectly content letting the youngsters burn their energy while she enjoyed her relaxing little “sniffari.” We love seeing each dog’s personality shine, and Bentley’s gentle, laid-back nature always makes us smile. 🩷

Weekend recap: apparently it was a ✨Pittie Party✨ at Sterling Acres Kennel LLC 🐾😂

Nova was leading the charge with his happy zoomies, tail wags, and full-speed laps around the yard this weekend! We had the BEST group of pitties staying with us, and they kept us laughing nonstop with their goofy smiles, cuddles, and endless energy. 💙

People who know pitties know — they’re some of the sweetest, happiest dogs around, and this weekend was a perfect reminder of that. Nova definitely made sure everyone got their daily entertainment with those zoomie bursts! 🐾💨

We loved spending the weekend with all these sweet pups!

🐾 Friday Evening Zoomies with Grunkle 🐾

Grunkle, one of our happy regulars, ended his stay the best way he knows how — full-speed Friday evening zoomies, waiting to be picked up! 💨🐶

Nothing makes us smile more than seeing our regular pups feel right at home, stretching their legs, playing hard, and soaking up all the fun til next time. Grunkle definitely understood the assignment 😂❤️

Even when dogs have a great stay, boarding can be very exciting and stimulating for them! Between playtime, new smells, outdoor time, routines, and lots of activity, many pups need a little time to relax and recharge once they return home.

It’s completely normal for dogs to:
🐶 Sleep more than usual
🐶 Be extra clingy or affectionate
🐶 Drink more water
🐶 Have lower energy for a day or two
🐶 Want some quiet time at home

Looking for simple ways to keep your dog mentally stimulated (and burn off some of that extra energy)? Try these easy enrichment activities you can do right at home!

🧩 Snuffle Mats – Turn mealtime into a fun challenge! Let your dog sniff and search for their kibble or treats. Great for slowing down fast eaters too.

🧊 Frozen Treats – Stuff a Kong or container with dog-safe goodies and freeze it. Keeps them busy and cool (perfect for warmer days!).

👃 Scent Games – Hide treats around the house or yard and let your dog “hunt” for them. It taps into their natural instincts and wears them out fast!

📦 DIY Puzzle Boxes – Use cardboard boxes, paper, or towels to create a little treasure hunt. Cheap, easy, and super engaging.
