Since 2007, our 'PAW' Low-Cost Spay-Neuter program has subsidized more than 10,000 low-cost surgeries, and delivers more than 8,000 pounds of Pet Food to area Food Banks. Since 2018, hundreds of pets saved through our Rescue Transport.

This is “Special Angel,” one of AnimalVillageNM’s Legacy Dogs, celebrating Memorial Day with the freedom, love, and safety every dog deserves. 🇺🇸🐾

Angel was abandoned TWICE before finally finding her forever person — Joanne — who became not only her adopter, but her devoted service partner and best friend.

While AnimalVillageNM transitioned away from our brick-and-mortar rescue facility years ago to focus on prevention through affordable spay and neuter services, our commitment to the animals we rescued has never ended.

Not then.
Not now.
Not ever.

Every dog and cat matters. Every life matters. And every spay or neuter surgery helps prevent more animals from experiencing abandonment, homelessness, neglect, and suffering in the first place.

We had MANY people already waiting more than 30 minutes before the official start time, which is exactly why we strongly encourage pet guardians to ALWAYS pre-qualify online first at AnimalVillageNM.com to help secure earlier placement in upcoming surgical blocks.
