Meet the animals part 7!! No we didn’t forget about this amazing guy. Meet our Livestock Guardian Dog “General Lee Wallace” (aka Wally or Wallace). He is an integral part of this Farmy. He lets us know when something’s around that shouldn’t be even if they’re a couple miles away he has attended and cleaned up almost all of our Goat) kitten seasons he’s protected his goats from mountain lions at our past property he is a love and he has a softer side towards Kids and our family. He is an amazing dog a unicorn of livestock guardian dogs I will say… he has taught other livestock dogs, the ways of looking out for livestock and making sure they have what they need. We are so grateful to have this big polar bear.

Part 5 Meet the animals!! Today let me introduce our FluffyButts… before the move, we had up to 60+ chickens in our flock we downsized a lot, we processed a lot of roosters and sent them to freezer camp while teaching others in the community how to process and be more self sufficient with their farms, as well and sold some off and a close friend and coworker took half of what I had left and continued being the local egg dealer back in our other small town…so these are the guys that came up with us which were around 31 and unfortunately, we lost a few of them recently so now we’re down to 20 something but this coming spring we will be breeding meat chickens as well as incubating eggs, selling baby chicks, continuing our egg sales and breeding program as we expand the coop and run and secure it better and make a new free range area this next year..

Let’s meet the animals Part 4!! these are our kitty cats starting with Ballou and Olive our house cats. They finally picked up hunting and doing their job about six years into their life. They are now almost 9 years old or just turned nine then we have our feral barn, cats, Donald and Loretta Lynn we got them very young fix them thought they were coming around with humans and no such luck. This move took about 10 steps backwards so we will see if they stick around or not once they start exploring the barn we have my daughter‘s cat Eugene Earl, who is a Cornish Rex and House) Kitty in her home. He likes to go out for walks on a leash and see the horses and explore otherwise he’s a playful little kitty. He’s just under a year-old he’ll be a year in spring and last but not least rest in peace to our little Robin. She was our chicken coop kitty. she was such a sweet girl that we adopted.. we don’t really know her history other than her owner had passed away and none of the family wanted her or her sister so she came to us, we are just glad she got to enjoy the last months of her life in Montana and she got to be out exploring the property and hunting.

Meet the animals Part 3! This is Diesel (heeler) and Axel (English lab) .. They are our family pet dogs.. Diesel has always been a natural without formal training to heel and let us know when something is wrong or of an animal if out and shouldn’t be he has been known to keep them confined till we can get there. He loves and misses his boy (my son Hunter). Then we have Axel, he is the son of my former stud (Buck) that I bred and retained. Axel is well Axel, trained for hunt but a complete idiot around guns now, eats anything and everything food related even if its for a horse, chicken etc.. He loves the water and will even try and fir into a water bucket to swim🙄They are both great dogs and at their age so glad they get to live out their lives with us in MT… They are loving the grass..

Lets meet the 9 goats that we kept and came to MT..All but Liberty and Poppy were born at Freedom Farm. Liberty and Poppy are sisters we acquired at just a few months old, to start our herd they came from a dear friend and were the kids pets. At four months old Liberty jumped off a tractor tire and landed in a cement step into our barn amd broke her leg at the knee. Since she was you g and the vet I worked for at the time said they adapt very well on three legs we amputated it. Here we are going on nine years later and she has been a great mom and kid a singleton and twins four separate times. Poppy same age and we call her our fat little ottoman and has also been a wonderful mama several times. Both are since retired from breeding. Next we have the triplets Little Ricky Ricardo, Lucille Ball and Fred Mertz.. Born and raised and the sweetest goats. Ricky and Fred are whethered and just good w**d eaters and companions for the herd. Lucy will be bred late winter/early spring and our up and coming milker. Next ip is pur huge boy Brandon and his sister Harriette II.. Brandon is the most in your pocket (also whethered) boy and would love to still make him a packing goat to hime with. He and Harriette are very attached and she also comes from great milking lines and may breed her along side Lucy but we will see. Our beautiful Eleanor Roosevelt is the classic Full Nubian confirmation I love. She is deaf and the sweetest girl, loves her attention and is special to my heart.. Then we have Boots.. again classic full Nubian look other then her crooked redneck smile. She is coming around when her brother sold last year she wanted nothing to do with any human. We may also breed her. Anyway those are our goats for now as we revamp our herd and plans to carry on the milk, cheese, soap and other health products… If you want to meet them please reach out..

Now that we are getting settled over at Freedom Farm MT lets meet the animals.. Part 1… First off our horses, Saddie Girl & Mama.. sadie was a dressage horse and came to us during Covid when her former owner wanted to euthanize her because she could no longer afford to board her at the retirement facility, due to Covid and losing her job so her owner surrendered her to us and is an amazing horse.. next we have Mama, who was gifted to us by a wonderful former teacher of my kiddos and awesome friend. Mama use to be a 3 day even horse and has became Sawyer‘s first horse and absolute unicorn for her.
